Illegal Immigrant Drivers
When is America (and the State of Illinois specifically) going to get off their collective asses and start deporting illegals instead of accommodating them every which way? From the Tribune a few days ago:
- Illinois would become one of only a handful of states in the nation to authorize illegal immigrants to drive legally on their roads under legislation the Illinois House passed Wednesday to create a special driver's permit for undocumented residents.
A special permit? So that means an actual licensed driver has to be in the front seat with them? Or what?
- "Today we make history," said Rep. Edward Acevedo (D-Chicago), the sponsor. "The roads in Illinois will be a safer place, and immigrants can drive to church, to work, and take their children to school legally and without fear."
Oh joy. Acevedo again. This bozo who cries "For the children, we must ban all guns!" or some similar BS. This guy was/is CPD. Why isn't he worried about enforcing the laws of this country? Didn't he take an oath or some sort? Ed? We WANT illegals terrified that the next knock on the door might be INS. These people are BREAKING THE LAW!
- "Why are you talking about a driving privilege for folks who can't register to vote?" asked Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Greenville). "Let's just knock down the borders and give everybody a certificate and say, 'Hey, thanks for being here. You're now a great American. It doesn't matter by the means you got here, but you get all the rank and privileges all our ancestors paid dearly for."
Thank you Rep, Stephens for making sense. Too bad you're in the minority down in Springfield. Maybe one day, people will wake up.

If an illegal immigrant walks into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement office and admits being in the country illegally, does ICE let them leave and go on their way?
If the answer is YES, then let this bullshit legislation go through.
If the answer is NO, then why are we allowing them to get anything other than a ticket back to where they came from?

According to yesterday's Scim-times the county has laid of the Assistant Director of the Juvenile Justice Center but kept on Mareno's sister who has absolutely no experience in matters of juvenile justice or administration. This, after the county went on a nationwide search and was able to get a top notch, not polically contected, world renound expert in juvenile justice sustems. The paper is quoted as saying this guy is one of the best around and an independant board can't speak enough about him. The articla goes on to say that right after Toddler and friends decided to start making cuts, they changed Mareno's sister's title from Assistant Director (with no prior juvenile justice or administrative experience)to Director of community relations or something in that form. Then they layed off the good guy. It goes on to say that the guy was trying to change the place for the better and his complaint was that the hired hands won't cooperate and refuse to change ("progress has been hindred").

What a co-incidence. Abbate's brother kicks the ass of a Washington DC cop. Cops don't beef on each other. The cop goes back to D.C. Ten days later, he files a beef on Terry Abbate. last time i checked, we are still required to enforce all laws. if one were to present you with a permit for ILLEGAL ALIENS, you are bound to take that as an admission as to that person is not in this country legally.

If you guys pull me over and I don't have my driver's license, I can get a ticket and/or court date.
If you pull over an illegal with this "driver's license", it's all good?
Why don't they just issue citizens a piece of paper so we can bypass those long ass lines at the DMV?

As someone stated in another posting, this issue isn’t only about getting a drivers license folks. It is the slow implementation of illegal people in this county getting the right to vote more of these idiots like Edward Acevedo so they can pass legislation to speed up the process of becoming a legal citizen. FYI: The S.O.S. has always had a temporary DL called a TDL for those that had no SS#. You used to be able to renew it once. It lasts 90 days so a person without a SS# could have driving privileges for 180 days in their lifetime in Illinois. The person applying for a TDL has to pass the same tests as anyone applying for a regular DL (Written,vision,driving.)This new law is far beyond that of the TDL. It legitamizes the illegal status of these law violators. What I don't understand is this: How can we say that a person that is not a legal resident of this country, is a legal resident of this state? Being a LEGAL resident of this State is one of the qualifications for being able to obtain a DL. Not a resident, no Illinois License.I keep stopping people that now have insurance, but no DL. Insurance companies are now allowing people without a DL to get insurance because the illegals and shitheads all know that most of our tows are for a violation plus no insurance and that the noo insurance ticket is expensive if a judge actually applies the law. I have no problem with this law if the follwing were an addendum:
All Temporary D.L. applications and DL information will be forwarded to Homeland Security - I.C.E. for enforcement of all immegration laws.
If you think this is a problem, wait a couple of weeks.

What if one of these certificate driving Illegal Aliens decides that they can operate their vehicles in a STATE that doesn't recognize these certificates as legit? Suppose that same guy/gal operating their vehicle in a less accomadating State is involved in an accident, if that State don't recognize the certificate as a legit driver's license, would that make the ILL SOS liable to any Insurance litigation involving personal or property damages, since they were the primary instructment allowing these illegals to operate a motor vehicle
THUS the tax payers of Illinois will have to shell out money to satify out of state insurance claims..HMMMMMMM! anybody know how this thing really work????

In 009 and 010 and 012 I pull over every car and all I get is "me no speak english, me no have license, me no have insurance" but the car is in jesus's name, hmmmm?
Have you ever had a illegal immigrant hit you..They have money to buy a car but they cant get insurance,...I say if you drive without a DL we take your car...I have been hit 3 times and i am out 2.000...They are sure proude people...

Illegals buy insurance for their "rides" and when stopped by police submit mexican chauffers license and insurance card and think they are right.
I called major insurance companies (not Magnum) and asked if I did not have a drivers license or had a suspended d/l, would I be covered in a crash. The answer was no!
So, I write a no insurance ticket with all my Susp/No Valid D/L arrest to set the bond at $2000. Fuck Them.
It's OK, I go home now. You give me one chance.

The problem with so many illegals on the road now is directly the fault of our fellow officers. How many times have we all seen on of our fellow cops give a break to someone who doesn't speak english, and has no license or proof of insurance? And yet, these same cops will TVB someone who works everyday because they're on a ticket! Talk about messed up priorities!!

They say it will make the roads safer. How? The fact is that illegals drive now without a valid license and anybody who works in 009, 010, 012, 17, or 025 knows how good they are at it. License or not, they will still drive and license or not, they will still suck at it. The only up side to this is that maybe ICE will supeona the records and do a mass round up.
