I couldn’t get over other comments made by our dear Mayor yesterday. He was on TV defending his former Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Al Sanchez. As an aside, I know Al Sanchez. He is truly a good man. To use a baseball analogy, he just played the game the way his manager told him to play it. That being said, he broke the law period – stop. His numerous violations of the Shakman decree place him in the guilty as charged chair. What was amazing about the Mayor’s comments, such as –and I quote directly: “he was out there all the time in the summer and in the winter” (WTF is that all about);”he was a Vietnam veteran”; “he was a southeast sider” (another WTF); “he was a good family man”; “he served the city well”; “he got caught that dumb fuck” (my comment). Its amazing the day after he threw Phil Cline under the bus for making an error in judgment he gets on TV and defends someone who broke the law.
Only in Chicago, only from the lips of the idiot.

They should install GPS in the badges. Any fight in a bar could be tracked. Or have cops wear an ankle monitoring device to track them. If you gonna play like a thug off-duty, then enjoy thug treatment.

The mayor has no idea what it is like being a citizen in this city he does not want citizens to own weapons and now not to fight, THATS the perfect world, comming from a guy who has been raised his whole life with 24hr armed security and the name of every important politition to take care of any problems he has ever had.

The new incident was a bar fight between two men. The only problem with it was one of the "men" turned into a slime ball when he got back to D.C. The guy got his ass kicked and now is looking for some cash. You can bet there is some slime ass lawyer behind all of this.

Yea so next time patrol gets a call regarding a neighbor dispute, the zone operator could just tell them it's not a police matter because the mayor says "it is your responsibility not to fight with your neighbor or family". Shouldn't be the the poleeeece responsibility either.
About a week ago there was a "Channel 9 Exclusive". A black couple said that two POs came in and thrashed their house wanting $10,000.00. They (the POs)then met with uniformed officers in a squad car out side of their building.
My first thought was that they were trying to cash in on Abatte and Jefferson Tap fiasco.
So what happened with that? How does the news bad mouth the CPD and then never mention it again? If untrue the couple should be arrested and it should be all over the news.

Mayor Richard Daley's 16-year-old son, Patrick, pleaded guilty Friday to misdemeanor charges in connection with an unsupervised beer party and brawl at the mayor's Grand Beach, Mich., vacation home last month. During the melee, another teen's head was smashed with a baseball bat. That youth is recovering.
one of my neighbors sells drugs, the other one in the bldg fights dogs. i call the police all the time but i hear their comments and the dispatchers comments when I remain anonymous they think that lessons the validity of the call, which it doesn't, I just don't want retaliation, thats all.
