The Sopranos

*** Spoiler Alert - Do not read if you don't want to know about the latest episode ***

Ok, a half baked start to the final set of episodes. Anyone else sense some foreshadowing here? We had money that either Bobby and Janice Bacala's kid was drowning in the lake by the end of the episode or else AJ's grlfriend's kid would be floating in the Soprano pool during the party. We predict a child's death will bring about some sort of downfall here.

And how about Bobby Bacala finally getting to whack someone, and then leaving a trail of DNA a blind FBI agent could follow? Especially after complaining about how DNA was making it harder to get away with murder (evidently, the Jersey mob hasn't heard about the Chicago clearance rate).

Phil Leotardo is already itching to kill someone, and it doesn't even have to be a Jersey someone. He just needs to kill.

The glory hound State DA butting into the FBI's 5 year RICO case was a nice touch, but isn't it usually the FBI who screws up local cases more so than a county guy messing up a feeb's case? Isn't that why "conflict decerts" are mandatory nowadays?

Bobby left part of his shirt at the crime scene, DNA from sweat/hair/skin.

He also dropped the pistol at the scene, no gloves.

The Feds will get him on the murder and force him to roll on Tony.

And how about Carmela with the hummer? That's hot.

This was a good episode. Last season the first episode was great (when Junior shot Tony) and the rest of the season was lame. Hopefully, each show will get better. It has to be better than last year!

The mob is dead!

Lets get a new realistic crime drama about the new breed of urban terrorists out there..GANGBANGERS!

It could be called..The Jones, or The Rodriguez's.

The first one might be hard to follow with all the nicknames(Boo-Boo or Junebug, etc.)and the loud hip-hop sountrack blarring in the background throughout the entire episode. The second one might be hard to follow because all of the male characters would be named Angel.

Don't forget the fully auto rifle fire in the woods. What a bunch of BS that was! Tony and Bobby are much to fat and much to lazy to make a hike far enough into the woods to pull that shit off. This is supposed to be upstate NY not KY right? In NY ATF would be jerking off all the way to bobby's house and speed boat.

David Chase is getting more and more full of shit every season. I hope this one gets better in the final eight.

This show “jumped the shark” a long time ago. The director should have substituted fonzie in his leather coat waterskiing instead of that chick that Tony was honking at.

tony and phil are going to get hot and heavy. phil's boys have been badgering him to get back at jersey and take tony out. the ball busting between tony and phil is priceless, almost as good as tony and johnny sack when they use to "chat".

This show sucks. I tired of all the dago bullshit. I hope it really is over. What a bunch of crap. Same old re-hashed garbage with oldie songs for a sound track. How original! Fuck that show and anybody that thinks this has any quality what so ever.

Bobby was also using hollow point bullets. That's why they showed that the round went through the guy and into the dryer. Will probably be the same ammo the local guys recovered from the gun that Tony was seen dropping. And to the poster who thinks the mob is dead obviously doesn't remember the relatively recent hit in Bridgeport--Ronny Jarrett was out of prison and treatening to strong-arm some control...but I digress. The Sopranos is still the best show on television.

"Dago" is a reference to the way the Italian fellas talk as in "Da-go here, da-go there..."

to 4/9 9:53pm

It all goes back to a mid 20th century Italian/American tire salesmen; here's one of his ads:

dago thru sleet
dago thru snow
and when dago flat, dago wop, wop, wop, wop

DAGO goes back to when the the italians first got here and were looking for work in the ship yards loading the ships. They were not permanent residents for a year so they were not permanent employees for a year. They worked as the day goes by. For short DAGOs.

P.S. I thought it was a good opener considering last season I almost put out my eyes it was so... bad. I have been watching since the start to good or bad, I have to stick with it. Sort of like the people on this job.

You do live in Chicago, don't you?

The Outfit may not be what it once was, but it is a thriving business.

Trucking Firms - Marina Cartage and it's sister companies
many more, most

The Admiral Theatre

All Poker Machines

Many bars - Bobby Dominicks on Grand
City Hall Bar

Punchinello's
many more

Most Pawn Shops

Mob run. Just like part of this Dept.

Hmmmm......

What else????

Insurance Scams - yes the outfit

Car dealerships - yep.

Rizza
Norwood Park Dodge
etc.

Construction Co. - oh yea

Your correct - the Mob is gone????
