What's Up With Sergeants?
Seems a bunch of Sergeants from the west side are making headlines:
- Wednesday from the Tribune: Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon after a fire at an apartment building on Chicago's Lower West Side, authorities said.
The blaze broke out about 12:30 p.m. in a three-story brick building in the 1600 block of West 21st Street in the city's Pilsen neighborhood, Fire Department spokeswoman Eve Rodriguez said. A CPD Sergeant on viewed the fire and rescued two people from the flames
- Friday in the Sun Times: A Sergeant and 5 PO's credited with pulling a crash victim out of his burning car seconds before it was completely engulfed by flames
- Saturday morning from Channel 5: A uniformed police sergeant driving in a marked car saw two armed men forcing another man to lay on the hood of a car in the gas station's parking lot, police said. The alleged victim yelled for help and said the two men were trying to rob him (more coverage at Channel 7 and the Sun Times.) Sergeant shoots the subject twice.
Nice to see some good news making headlines.
