Good Riddance
- Wednesday was the last meeting in City Council for a number of long-time Chicago aldermen who lost in last month�s runoff elections.
Ah yes, Tillman, Coleman, Haithcock, Natarus, and about 5 others. One other aldercreature declined to seek reelection, so fully 20% of the City Council will be new next month.
What does it mean in the great scheme of things? Nothing, really. Daley still controls enough votes to pass what he wants and enforce his own rules. But perhaps the shake up can force some other issues to the fore. We shall see.

Why do we need 50 Alderman? Can anyone even recall anything they have introduced that made sense. They just are pawns in King Daleys kingdom. They are ineffective and over payed.

we don't need aldercreatures anymore,they can't help you with a job,can't get a car towed,a tree trimmed a garbage can,but still want your donation.the best alderman for each ward is 311 you will get city services quickly and not have to deal with a $90.000+ yes person and their arrogant staff making $60.000+ to$80.000 chief of staff,give me a break.
