Heads up Warning
- LAS VEGAS - A backpack exploded in a parking garage attached to a Las Vegas hotel early Monday, killing a man who had picked it up and injuring another person, authorities said.
The man had removed the backpack from atop his car when it exploded shortly after 4 a.m. on the second floor of a parking behind the Luxor hotel-casino, said Officer Bill Cassell, a police spokesman.
The second person was taken to an area hospital.

off the topic: whats going on in area 2 with the changes of the gangs teams. they are changing to a relief period! and rumor has it to a day off group change of tuesday and wednesday. wtf deputy dont your coppers have families too. you are going to loose alot of great coppers! and sure you are going to replace them with some dum ass/ lazy ass /ppo who does not have a clue. that why the fucking morale is so fucking low.fuck this department,fuck the city,and fuckyou if you dont agree.

Gang teams are also working 2000-0430 on Fri-Sat nights. Now, they are effectively rotating watches within a work week. Worse, than when we rotated, for those who remember....

D/C T.S. came up with the new plan for ALL fo Area 2, and it is for ALL the teams, gand and tact. When you are on relief, you will do three 2000-0430's, then three 1000-1830's. That is set in stone.
She also came up with the set DOG, so no weekends, and they change the set day off each period, and again, with no weekends.
When she was confronted by ALL 5 of the District D/C's - she told them "tuff". It is a done deal.
Allegedly, two tact teams from within the area put in their par forms/to-froms to leave...She said that is fine, she will man her plan if it takes doing it with PPO's and 1 year wonders.
She just went up a spot in the running for Cline's job....
CPD, what is up with this? Just read this on Burbcops.com. Cicero is a 100% outfit town.

Sneed hears retiring Chicago Police Supt. Phil Cline is a wanted man.
• Translation: Cline is in the cross hairs of the Town of Cicero, which has targeted him to help fight crime in Al Capone's backyard.
Word is Cicero Town President Larry Dominick is a big fan of Cline, who has made major inroads in reducing Chicago's violent crime, and wants to hire Cline as a police consultant.
"We need help desperately," said a Cicero source. "We have outrageous crime in such a small town. The village had 11 murders in 2006, and only two were solved. We've already had nine murders in 2007, with only one case solved, and we are only a village of about 82,000 people.
"Cline has a national reputation as a crime buster, and [Dominick] is outraged," the source added.
The reported crime index rate in Cicero shows 68 aggravated sexual assault cases in 2006, with only seven solved.
"The year before that, we had 92 sexual assault cases, and NONE were solved," the source added.
"In 2006, we had 117 cases of aggravated battery, and only 32 were solved.
"The people in this community are suffering. Even Dominick has four bodyguards."
Sneed hears the desire to hire Cline as a top consultant was a major discussion at a recent Cicero precinct captains' meeting attended by Dominick.
• Top tip II: Rumble is that a major Cicero Police Department shakeup is planned for the end of the month.

Let's form a unit designed to teach police officers how to deal with terrorist incidents, then dump all the people willing to teach and study this stuff for twelve hours a day and replace them with clout heavy people who know nothing of terrorism and duck out after five hours. you got to be kidding me that A/2 is changing DOGs to tuesday, wednesday for gang personnel. Why on earth would anyone be on one of these teams. It was fun a few years back but now the only perk is wearing jeans. No thanks, i got enough laundry to do already. God help you if you are too soft to stay on one of those gang/tact teams. I agree with 11:28:00 AM fuck this department and city because they have continually shown that they don't give a fuck about you. True they don't even answer the phone they have take home cars so they are home! isn't little tommies daughter there? a clout hideout that is just perfect! I went to TARA training and had a great instructor detective "Z" the best but he does not have the clout to run our terroism unit! This dept is all about bullshit lies and distorsions happy i am in the KMA club! Will continue to work all the time and 1/2 and make the money before daley steals the rest of it!

Cicero has been infested with gangs for years. They moved from 010 and 012 to the town that Capone built. Instead of celebrating St. Valentines day, they celebrate Cinco de Mayo- the official holiday of the street gangs.
A/2 dep chief doesnt care abot the men and doesnt care about there familes or there health. Go back to the watch and do what everyone else in area 2 does nothing. If you take set days off that are in the middle of the week you are an idiot. Sit down do nothing its summer time in area 2 let the bodies pile up.

State charge = State money. Also, start writing the State charge for stop signs so you don't have to go to court unless you want to. Only the city charge is a $100 fine, the state charge is still set by a judge which eliminates the mandatory court appearance. 625 ILCS 5/11-1204 Stop at at stop sign.
we just got a notice that operation "safe summer" is back, and all of the promises from 43x (the god of police) were thrown out of the window, welcome back the black bdu's and canceled days off.

The incidents in Vegas have bikers written all over them. New leadership wants them to return to the "old ways" of doing business. If you get a call of a suspicious package near a biker clubhouse, take it serious. These dudes are really violent AND they really enjoy it.
