Halftime Update / Final Score

Three to nothing?

Well, at least we know the defense is hitting on all cylinders.

UPDATE: 80 yards rushing? 122 yards passing? Oh lord.

PATHETIC!!!!!!

Dumping Jones was a bad move. Benson IS NOT the star he thinks he is.

Grossman still can find a receiver.

No offensive line.

And the defense just caved in the second half.

I predict the Bears will be 8-8, if they are lucky.

No running game at all and wont be one all season. benson has no heart and is a careless puke, Peterson has heart but is a second string at best. We are fu%ked and so is any passing game without the run.

OFF TOPIC

Would you believe that the goofs [Politicians] that be named a street in Maywood over this Police hating, Police Killer, Racist, piece of garbage Fred Hamptom, jr. who advocated killing all Police Officers. If I were an Officer in Maywood I would NOT do a damn thing to help those people in Maywood! I hope someone has the balls to bomb that statue! This is a slap in the face to all Police Officers! Go and read this putrid article glorifying this asshole, piece of shit!

Maywood street, statue honor slain Panther leader Hampton

September 9, 2007
BY MONIFA THOMAS Staff Reporter/mjthomas@suntimes.com
From now on, Oak Street in Maywood will be known as Fred Hampton Way.

Relatives of the slain Black Panther leader joined congressmen, activists and Maywood residents Saturday to dedicate the street and a statue of Hampton that now sits in front of the Fred Hampton Family Aquatic Center.

Last year, efforts to name a street on Chicago's West Side for Hampton failed amid controversy that Hampton and the Panthers advocated violence against police.

But there was no such debate in Maywood, whose mayor, Henderson Yarbrough, said the village council "unanimously, proudly" voted to give Hampton his due.

"There ought to be some footprints in the sand in relation to this man," said the Rev. Al Sampson, one of about 75 people at the ceremony. "Fred Hampton represents part of the tradition of liberation freedom fighters."

Killed in police raid in '69
Maywood's police chief attended the event, along with U.S. Representatives Danny Davis and Bobby Rush, a co-founder of the Illinois Black Panther Party.

Hampton, who grew up in Maywood, and fellow Panther Mark Clark were gunned down by Chicago Police in a 1969 raid at Hampton's apartment. Hampton had helped bring the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party to national prominence and also brokered a nonaggression pact between gangs.

Because Hampton wanted to be a lawyer, a scholarship fund for black law students now bears his name, and several scholarship awards were given at Saturday's dedication.

Hampton's brother Bill Hampton said the statue and the street are an appropriate tribute to a man who fought for "justice, freedom and equality for all people."

Asked what she thought about the street, Hampton's mother, Iberia Hampton, said: "I love it."

Jones was a gangster thug and Benson is just a punk.
It's a shame the Northbrook,i mean Wilmette ,oops I mean Hinsdale Bears have no running game.
How about putting a uniformed officer in the opposite endzone, maybe that would inspire them.

Any truth that the W/C who surrender the crime scene to the crowd last night is in a BIG HEAP OF TROUBLE? Let us know. Heard 35th and Michigan blew a gasket when they heard about it.

this game was not grossman's fault. it was the 2 fumbles and the botched punt. any team with a great defense needs their offense to control the ball like sandiego's team did. get it turner? stop making dumb mistakes and you win.

Yeah, it's true. The W/C in 003 had no choice but to do so, as he had no manpower left to deal with the mob. There were three separate shootings and a homicide in 003, all within one hours time frame. The mob overran the crime scene and destroyed the evidence. That being said, a multitude of people were arrested as a result. Unfortunately, there were more of them than us.

Perhaps if the Department would allocate more manpower to the districts he wouldn't have had to surrender the scene.

The Lieutenant did the right thing given the circumstances. Screw the idiots at 35th street who think they can do a better job from their cushy office!

Lovie and the Bears management should be flogged in public for continuing to play Grossman.

He is an inexperienced buffoon. Put Griese in!

Fortunately the Bears are in a weak Division. And more fortunately their in the NFC and not the AFC. I predict an 9-7 season with Griese at the Helm during the 2nd half of the season and luckily enough to make the playoffs. Gamblers will take a beating on the Bears.

**********************************
I was on scene that night and 399 called a 10-1. The nonsense that insued before and after was all avoidable. The 003 Dist. Sgt. on scene was clueless and totally inept in handling a loud mob. When the first TRU cars arrived on scene he told them everything was under control and no more cars were needed. All the while the natives were throwing rocks, bottles, and other shit at the police. The yellow crime tape hadn't even been unrolled and once it was it didn't even stretch to cover half the scene. TRU calls for more cars and the 003 Dist. Sgt., still had no plan, no red tape up, no canvas, and looked to be actually enjoying the chaos. 003 Dist. cars responded from the get go but had no direction from their Sgt. TRU told to leave once the ambulances left. 399 arrives to find 003 Dist. coppers chasing people up and down the street. TRU asked to come back, then a 10-1 followed. Canine, 002,006, 021, and others arrived. The crime scene (or what little of it was assessed and taped off)couldn't be protected because squad cars were parked everywhere. Foot prints in the blood, shell casings crushed under tires. Yeah arrests were made... mostly the loud f/1s who instigated the group, but I've never seen a crime scene just abandoned like that. You can't blame the dist. cars and outside units who came running to help during that fiasco, but the fault lands on the 003 Dist. Sgt., in charge. He was mentally overrun the minute he showed up.

Hey benson only because you had a decent career in the college level doesnt mean you can run the football at the NFL level. The Bears need a real quarterback and running back, bears management please try and aquire them befor the season is half over.
The bears have not had a real running back since the late Great Walter Payton, all that have come after have been great let downs.

As a Pack Fan (former Bears Fan), I see it this way the Bears can not ever admit to making a high draft choice that sucks. as examples Grossman and Benson. Rather than cut their losses, they will stick with them until they show they have no trade value then move onto the next bad draft choise.
