- According to Florida real estate records, DiPiazza spent $5 million to purchase Penthouse 201 at the lush Madeira on Marco Island development on Sept. 18, 2006. That same day, Fred Bruno Barbara purchased Penthouse 202 at Madeira, for $5.5 million. Barbara didn't take any loans to buy the property, at least none leveraged against the penthouse. The penthouses were estimated between 7,000 and 9,000 square feet.
Also on Sept. 18, 2006, another DiPiazza/Barbara buddy and 11th Warder, city worker Charles Scalfaro, purchased Unit 1504 at Madeira, for $1.9 million. Scalfaro makes around $60,000 a year overseeing paving for the city's Department of Transportation. Collier County real estate records show that no loans were taken out to purchase Scalfaro's condo.
Living on about $60,000 a year, no loan, Scalfaro must be a good saver.
So the feebs and Fitzgerald are poking around a bunch of Florida real estate deals while hunting for scalps at City Hall. Chicago - Florida. Chicago - Florida.

A certain P.O. D.R. 018, but in Law Dept investigations, has a knack for real estate in Arizona on his salary, his wife who works for the state, and 3 kids. Guess his "networking" skills are paying off. But, one day his uncle Captain M.L. won't be able to bail him out.
maybe that city worker who is such a good saver can go on the lecture circut and give others pointers on "how to be a good saver" might I suggest he start at either the ferderal court grand jury room, because they love a good story and are such good listeners folloiwed by a trip over to Fitzgeralds office for a little one on one. (wanna bet "the little guy" is a good saver....just ask all of his buddies he saved from taking "a federal hit" )

They have a Chicago Style Pizzeria on Marco, Is. Not bad considering. Hunting for Sand Dollars at low tide at sunrise is fun....look out for the riptide section over by there in the Gulf of Mexico near tiger tail beach. Marco is not far from Naples. Good fish eating there.....and the seafood is good too. For hardworking slugs like us....if you don't know a condo owner down there, there are a couple hotels on the Gulf. Worth the trip. Rent a boat, get some shells, pull up someone elses crab traps....sometimes a nurse shark gets snagged. Pretty cool to hold one in your mitts instead of a mope....for a change. What's this got to do with the feds?....They have their sphincters so tight they won't find time to ever enjoy anything like that. Difference between us and them. And those they catch will certainly lay in their federally accomodated penal setting reminiscing about the Gulf.....and it will be painful. At least Capone's brain was getting fried from his 'social disease'. I wonder what those properties will go for after the feds are done?....that is, if this is more than a rumor of course. The bright side is....anyone who takes down a politician or their mobbed up stooges is a friend of mine. Even if it is one of those sneaky G boys.
If its any consolation, those "chumbalones" bought at the very top of the florida real estate market. The market is in total free fall now.

Didn't he croak awhile back?
Thought he got busted for shoplifting back in the 80's too.

This is quite interesting. There was another Island in Florida, the one where they made the cigarette boats?, that alan masters and a bunch of those hoods had condos on but I can't remember the name. This would have been the late 70's, early 80's.

How did this guy get this house so cheap. There's rumblings about a northside sergeant who ripped off his contractor. Word is...he's going down. Is it the same guy?

There a pretty piece of property at 63rd and Linder. It was a mud hole with a fence around it, and leased water dept trucks were parked there. When the truck scandal broke, this city owned property was cleaned up sodded and landscaped. City leased trucks parked there when? Mr goudie investigate this.
