I hope Anita brings some class back to the CCSAO. How about getting back to actually prosecuting criminals. She not out of the woods yet, she has still got to beat T.P. in November.
Whoever gets in there I hope they actually start doing what the public expects them to do; put criminal offenders in jail regardless of if they are drug dealers, gangbangers, civil servants, atheletes. Whatever your profession if you commit a crime, you get prosecuted. There shouldn't be two sets of criminal laws that apply differently just because of what you do for a living.

I am sick of hearing the po's in 7,11,15 think they are better then everyone else. Please, if you work in a south side district ex(3 4,5,6,7,8) or a west side district (10,11,14,15) then you are the police no questions asked! In fact we are all the police in chicago, that is everyone who chooses to wear blue, work the street and really put your life in harms way. Just because a cop in 10 puts his life in harms way more then say a 16 district cop does not mean he is any less a cop. I just find it hard to believe that eveyone in blue can't just stick togehter. We have no one else! Fuck the old timers who forget what its like to be new! Fuck the new guys who forget to learn from those who walked in their shoes before them! Jack Murphy beat Hyman. Jack is a former state's attorney who, to my knowledge, defended County coppers when he ran the labor and employment division for the SA. No gang connection; no cop prosecutor; and not on the take!

to 410 a.m. while i agree 110% that we are all the same and we are all the police and we all wear blue, i can tell you that in past 6 months i have transferred from a very busy south side district to a district up north. I cant believe i waited so long to do this. i mean we all make the same pay and the guys south and west are doing double or triple the work each and every night. i havent handled a domestic or a shooting yet, i had many each night where i came from. So we are all the same, yet the guys south and west work a lot harder daily in terms of handling jobs at least.
Wouldn't it be nice if the Feds followed these elected officials (judges) and their cases? How about their financial records after each case? The police have restrictions on associating with known criminals. Do judges have this same type of rule/law/ethics?
The guys on the List of 662 can breath a little easier now, with Suffredin and Brookins gone. Both Alvarez and Peraica are on record against releasing the names. Obviously Peraica would probably make the better choice from a P.O.'S point of view although he's a nut in person. Both choices for CCSA aren't perfect but at least they're a bit more benign than the other previous candidates.

Sorry I disagree with this part. any job that has such a High rate of suicide is not a great job. stress on this job is trumped by no other profession. The military has their problems however Police stress goes on for years causing serious damage. (patrol only answering calls on a day to day basses)
At least Anita's bio states that she did put some goofs in jail that called themselves policemen. She did not promise to put policemenn in jail on a monthly basis.

I don't like Obama at all. I've listened to him trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's so overwhelming not right with me. Every time I hear him speak, watch his crowds chant his name, and it sounds so cult-like and desperate. His rhetoric holds absolutely no substance and his lack of experience, domestic/international policies are really scary given what we have at this point in Time.
The American people want Change and it is necessary given what has been, but when you cling, that's a sure-fire sign how wrong it is because there's no clarity of thought, just the overwhelming need for a quick fix. He doesn't offer even that.

Sorry 010th district "ranger" but it's nothing like it used to be. Half of dogass blvd is vacant buildings or lots, it flares in the summer once in awhile and that's it. The south end gets a few shootings on the weekends in the summer also, the rest of the week is pretty quiet. Besides, nobody seems to want to go north of Ogden anyway, everyone just drives around in circles on 26th street. Sorry to hurt your feelings but most of the time it's hard to tell there is another district on zone 10 besides 011 and they are not as busy as they used to be either....
