It's not just the cops who aren't caring so much anymore:
- The sound of gunfire has become so common in this neighborhood that when the downstairs residents of a two-flat in Little Village heard shots above them, they didn't call police.
Later, when they heard the sounds of banging and rummaging, they still weren't alarmed. It wasn't until a young woman from the building decided to check on her new neighbors and discovered a door ajar that police were called to the home in the 2800 block of South Kildare Avenue.
At about 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, police found the bodies of two men and a woman bound and gagged. They had been shot dead.
- A flat-screen TV and several pieces of diamond jewelry worth thousands of dollars were stolen from the South Side home where five people were found slain last week, police said Wednesday.
Police released photographs of the missing items in hope that someone will recognize them and call police.
Initial reports on the radio (most of which seem to have disappeared) had the neighbors looting the crime scene. A lady became suspicious when she saw two people removing a big screen TV from the home, looked in the back door and saw a pair of legs lying inside. A whole bunch of people knew what was going on in that house and knew there were dead people in there with a bunch of stuff worth taking.

Little did I know I would come on this job and observe a dude shoot a man, drop the weapon and run. What was amazing was how a bystander picked up the weapon and ran with it like it was an Olympic event the other way. Had a fatal two women in the front seat of a ford escort. Thought guy was helping me by removing the windshield until he took a purse and ran to 4848 south.
At least in 006 they only took property from the building not the bodies as far as I be knowing.

UPDATE: Woman, Killed by Shot to Face, Among Weekend Violence
CHICAGO -- A 19-year-old woman is dead following a Friday night shooting on the South Side.
A woman was shot on the 7900 block of South Marquette Avenue about 10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer David Banks said.
The woman was shot in the face and was dead at the scene, police News Affairs Officer John Henry said. Police have no further information, but Calumet Area detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide.
A 37-YEAR-OLD MAN was shot late Friday in the Lawndale neighborhood.
The vicim was shot in the head in the 1800 block of South California Avenue about 11:45 p.m., said police News Affairs Officer David banks.
No shooter is in custody and Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
THREE MEN are in "stable" condition following a shooting in the Garfield Park neighborhood Friday evening.
The men were shot on the 3900 block of West Van Buren Street about 5:02 p.m., according to a report from the police First Deputy Superintendent’s office.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the left foot, another 30-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 29-year-old man suffered a graze wound to the face, police said.
All three were initially taken in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Fire Media Affairs Chief Joe Roccasalva said.
Police have no further information, but Harrison Area detectives are investigating the incident.
A MALE TEEN was shot in the thigh in the Marquette neighborhood Friday afternoon in a possibly drive-by shooting.
The man, 18, was shot in the 2900 block of West 64th Street about 4:04 p.m., according to a Chicago Lawn District police officer. A report from the police First Deputy Superintendent’s office said the victim is in Mount Sinai Hospital in “stable” condition.
