Still in the hospital:

I do not know if his inmate number is needed or not.
He will be here for at least another 7 to 10 days. We are going to see him this weekend.

Here's the deal J-FED, You get Mette released from prison in the next ten days and take care of the Cozzi matter we will cut you a deal....... You obviously know that you signed your own and the departments death order with the Cozzi thing. All the meetings and slick talking in the world aren't going to fool 9,000 street coppers. To get a second chance, show us you mean business.
SCC, thanks for this site. Aside from the childish bullshit that pops up this site has done more to unify the members of this department against corruption and clout than anyone would have thought possible. I imagine Tiny Dick has a cluster of lawyers racking their brains to figure out a way to shut you down. Everyone knows that democreeps hate free speech.
Now we see what life is like for those we send to prison......... Gee makes ya wanna become a liberal democrat.
What if we where to send him money while he's in the Hospital?
Are the Prison Goons screening his mail therefore it would go right into their pockets or will his Mom be able to make sure it goes to him?

Mette is in his own little war. It's him against them and he's battling. I never met him but as his brother I pray he remains the warrior he seems to be. Get through this god awful time because your family and friends need you Mette. DB.

Don't worry, Asshole, I'm sure you can find some excuse to NOT send anything. And, you show know that Mike Mette's Dad is upstairs at FOP all the time. So don't go acting like FOP did nothing. FOP did more than you will ever think of doing, loser.
To those that want to send Mike something, the best thing you can do for my brother is keep sending him cards and letters. I would make sure to put his inmate number (# 6520284)on everything and your return name and address. They are really strict about that. I am sure they are screening his mail because there is a guard with him 24-7.

Morale is down lower than I've ever seen it...and it's partly because of things like the Mette situation. To see one of our own being punished for bullshit and watching as our "leaders" do absolutely nothing to make it right is appalling. What if Mette was your brother J-Fed? Well he's ours...and maybe it's time you got off your ass and stepped up.
Mike...stay strong. We're on your side and you're always in our thoughts.
I have a question:
Has anyone asked J-Fed at his blueshirt meetings about this matter?
I don't know if I will ever attend one his meetings, but you'd think someone would briefly preface to J-Fed what happened and ask a well-worded question that demands more than a yes or no answer.....?
Can anything be done at J-Fed's level? I am guessing not as Mike is now a former PO. But, he certainly has access to people that can make things happen; at the federal level.
Also, I am hoping that Mike's family files a lawsuit against the Iowa DOC for the failure to properly diagnose Mike's medical condition prior to it escalating to where he is in a hospital for 10 days....

Any update on Mike's condition? Is he still in the hospital?
Mike is not in the hospital but he is not back at North Central Correctional. He is at Oakdale Correctional near Iowa City because they have a medical wing there. Physically he is doing better.
Mike thinks he will be there for a few more weeks because they need to change his dressings. He has asked to go back to North Central.
His birthday is June 13, send him a card if you would like. You can send it to North Central and they will get it to him.
