This is typical of what transpires in Domestic Violence court at 555 W. Harrison when the victim refuses to cooperate. R Kelly did not prevail beacause of good lawyering or that he was factually innocent. He prevailed because the victim refused to cooperate. This is one of the reasons that crime is so high in some communities and will continue because folks don't believe in the Rule of Law or think that it is an attempt to subjugate them.

How absolutely hypocritical some of you are. This is Chicago-Cook county, where the citizens are routinely fucked/cornholed by elective officials on a daily basic.
In regards to the question about becoming a police officer if you are handicapped. Sorry, but no. There exempt positions in this department that can be made non-sworn. (It is Chicago and they make up the rules for their benefit)
Normally, you have to be able to physically do the job. Law enforcement/Public Safety postions are some of the few exceptions to the ADA. If you can complete the physical, hold your own in the academy as far as PT and defensive tactics, shoot a gun to qualify, and be licensed to drive a non-specialty vehicle you can get on (with other non-physical requirements) as a police officer.
That being said, there are a couple thousand civilian positions on the department that assist the police. Check the City of Chicago website to look for employment.

You think it was the jury that letthe defense run rampant and drag this thing out for 6 years?
Bottom line is there just was no case when the so called victim denies the crime ever happened.
Couple that with the dubious video evidence and I am not surprised a jury said not guilty.
It is up to the state to prove the guy did it, and their apparrently weak case just didn't cut it.
Any time a case goes to trial six years after the fact, it is going to be tough to prove, and a lot easier to introduce some doubt with the jury.
He got away, but HE WILL DO IT AGAIN. He can't help himself. He probably has done it already.

I have a girlfriend who was a pediatrician at Providence hospital years ago. I remember her telling me that in the black community by 10-11 years most of these girls have been molested/raped by a family member, that incest is rampant and as a result their own sexual activity begins soon after.
