All police unions should let their letterheads be available for this letter writing campaign.

Or, start a petition...

It is a done deal, they are coming here,,the IOC just making it look good.

Rio can't handle the Games and their crime rate makes ours look like Mayberry's.

Get over it,,they are coming here,,buy stock in some of the public companies around here that will profit.

A Federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit by a man who was barred from the New London police force because he scored too high on an intelligence test.

In a ruling made public on Tuesday, Judge Peter C. Dorsey of the United States District Court in New Haven agreed that the plaintiff, Robert Jordan, was denied an opportunity to interview for a police job because of his high test scores. But he said that that did not mean Mr. Jordan was a victim of discrimination.

Judge Dorsey ruled that Mr. Jordan was not denied equal protection because the city of New London applied the same standard to everyone: anyone who scored too high was rejected.

Mr. Jordan, 48, who has a bachelor's degree in literature and is an officer with the State Department of Corrections, said he was considering an appeal. ''I was eliminated on the basis of my intellectual makeup,'' he said. ''It's the same as discrimination on the basis of gender or religion or race.''

No, thank YOU.

And if you really think anyone believes you are either 'concerned' or an authentic, honest 'citizen', you have certifiably overdosed on the mayor's anal fluids.

Try not to swallow as much, next time you're feeding at the trough.

A dumb populace is an easily controlled populace.

What do the dictators do first?

Have everyone smarter than they are executed.

Devolution in action.

I'm sure the committee will be swayed by a bunch of crybaby cops whining about how the city doesn't treat them well enough. That's probably one of the top issues in whether or not to set the Olympics in one city or another. How well does the mayor treat the cops and do they have a good enough contract; the real meat and potatoes issues. Grow up already. No one cares.
