Smug People (Southside Version)

This is a broom. You sweep things with it. We won't even bother to look around for pictures of people carrying the things. But you can bet there are going to be thousands of them walking around down south.

Deja vu.

SOx were handed the first three innings on horrible officiating. Deny it all you want- but when Joe Morgan even says that the umps blew more than THREE calls-- you know its true. THat beginning changed the whole make up of the game.

There are few places that have two Major League teams and our great city is one of them. And we hve two first place teams! (Wouldn't it be great if neither New York team made the playoffs and both of ours made it?) It is much more difficult for two teams from the same city to make the World Series today than it was decades ago, because of the playoff system.

The Cubs have a better chance to make the playoffs (winning their division) than the White Sox (who may be overtaken by the Twins). But if both teams make the playoffs, the Sox have the much greater chance to make (and win) the World Series. The reason is the Sox have a deeper starting rotation as well as the best bullpen in all of baseball, factors that play an important part in the shorter playoff series.

Being the best NL team is like being the tallest midget in the circus. I hope the Cubs get to the Series, it will make the defeat of the sissy cubs fan all the more sweet.

Dear Southside Ball Club,

Your welcome. You now know what it's like to have a sold out game at the Cell. The Cubbies did a good job at making it look good. I'll be sending a bill for my share of the concessions. Especially, the barber booth for getting your mullet trimmed. I heard the line was out the gates and down to 35th & Halsted.

Your truly,

Mr. Zell

The Cell is a baseball field. Wrigley Field is just another bar on the pub crawl.

Lots of cold beer and pretty girls at both places. One question though. Why do they need all those off duty coppers working at the cell. Is that a reflection of the customer base? The fans at Wrigley are far from perfect, but it doesn't take 100 off duty guys to keep the peace.

Listen Yellow Hammer! There are at least 100 off duty P.O.'s at Wrigley Field for the Sox/Cubs. I work there with them. Check out the United Center too, lots of P.O.'s also! Now go back to your mom's basement and watch another episode of Cagney and Lacey!

I read the first comment from 12:32:00AM blaming the umpires! In all 6 games there were bad calls that went against each team so quit your whining. Both teams have very good home records and each club and below average records on the road! Each team played well in their own park and the series was split so quit blaming the umpires!

I don't know where you get the hundred off duty P.O.s working at Wrigley/ I work there. Try about one-tenth of that number.

A lot of off-duty P.O.s work for Levy, but they don't do crowd control.
