J-Fed v City Council
Someone wished that the City Council hearing involving J-Fed was going to be televised. We imagine that if anyone was going to carry it live, it'd be CLTV. They might still decide to.
Someone also pointed out that the City Council isn't exactly filled with brain surgeons. Jerry Springer ran circles around their dumb asses a few years ago. They exist for the sound bite, not for the answer that puts to shame everything they spout.
J-Fed isn't completely stupid. Yes, he's in over his head running a big city police department and yes he's made a boatload of stupid moves. But 75% of the cops on this job could run circles around the City Council. Cops are brilliant at sensing bullshit and five minutes in Council Chambers is enough to burn out most of our detectors. If J-Fed wants to make a stab at gaining momentum, he'll need to slap the aldercreatures around a bit. Tell them to quit meddling in no uncertain terms. Tell them to start taking their constituents to task for their behaviors. Demand that they support the police in the media, especially when we justifiably shoot someone who was armed and terrorizing their community.
Actually, it's his only hope of avoiding the spectacle of being ridden out of town on a rail, courtesy of the Daley Machine and all it's hangers on.

Excelent idea SCC, however, where could J-fed fit in a line or two about not throwing Officers under the bus (ie. a nice Civil Rights beef)?

No, he has no hope of avoiding that. All he can hope for is to accomplish some good before he's gone.
I am sure he will have the questions ahead of time and his answers will be well rehearsed. As far as the shootings, unless IPRA investigations have concluded, I am guessing no comments will be made about them.
I'm pretty sure the City Council meetings are streamed over the internet. Read an article in the tribune a while back about this. Might be a good show when J-Fed shows up to explain he was home feeding his cat when the shit hit the fan at the Taste of Chicago.

I'm sure they will, if and when we ever do justifiably shoot a bad guy. Unfortunately we don't know how they will react when this happens because so far we have only shot young scholars and future rap and basketball stars. Don't worry guys, one day we are going to get one of those bad guys and when we do, just wait and see, the alderman are going to praise us and maybe even have a parade for us..

They didn't give a shit about what was the best way to select a new Superintendent. Just hire some retired FBI guy who is a friend of a friend of Daley's. Your know about that old Family, Relatives and Friends Program that runs constantly through out city departments.
I believe it is time to make a change in government and how we make choices on who will represent our best interests and hold public offices.
Let's elect a superintendent for a four year term, limited to two terms. With an impeachment provision for incompetent elected officials based on a minimal petition of voters.
We need election and major political reforms in this state, county and city. Run for elected office. Find out what it takes... the sky's the limit!
i was working 03 jul and about 2245 hrs i was near the intersection of dearborn & jackson. a crowd of CB#'s were acting like fools and an enforcement car pulled up and four p.o.'s exited their vehicle and opened their ASP's making that clink clink noise. all of sudden DUGAN who was there yelled at the p.o.'s to close their ASP's and leave the area. i said to myself you gotta be kidding? sad to say a true story! next year i will bring my sling shot and launch marshmallows. Back Sir!

Alderman Carothers was right about where the rubber meets the ground... I however, like to think in these terms for next week's meeting...when J-Fed vs corrupt politicians want answers to their strange and unusual Tastes.
J-Fed and his merry band of retired FBI friends should prepare themselves for where the prophylactic “condom” meets the flesh. This of course will be limited to the same remaining supply of Ben Gay they have been using on us since February.

FYI - Groups of 12 Alderidiots met with J Fraud yesterday at HQ's. They went with 12 to bypass the open meetings act provisions. No flys on the wall yet. Will keep all informed when I hear more.
