- OT: 10-1 in 007 on 3rd watch due to two yuppie liberals marching down 56/winchester and telling people over a bullhorn to f$#k the police and kill the police. naturally the fine citizens responded by pouring out of their homes, surrounding the officers onscene and throwing bottles. one guy northside white liberal. guy 2 was white liberal from arizona. lawyers in 007 before officers arrived with the idiots (geez, was this premeditated?). liberal 1 claims he did nothing and was beat on for no reason. just hanging out. fake pastor sitting with the two lawyers. commander tells pastor that if u call for death and violence to the police, gloves come off. good to hear. when i left, lawyers bitching that they haven't seen their clients yet. of course whole thing videotaped. city will prob pay this idiot. commander and mcnulty going for felonies. hope these idiots spend some good time in county. be careful out there. i'm sure these idiots will be hitting 005, 010, 011 etc soon looking for their next paycheck. stay safe

The initial scenario seems so far fetched, But I believe it. What kind of city has this become.
It goes to show you that when the shitheads learn te rules of OUR game, it is so easy to turn the tables and screw us.
After 5 months of no parkers, a few movers (for court time) and 4 arrests (all on signed complaints, couldn't talk my way out of those - i tried) I've taken a different approach the last two weeks. I've taken myself off the street for three hours each shift. I make an arrest after I get my coffee. Now my new sched. 4-4:30 rollcall. 4:30-5:30 coffee, jobs pending. 5:30-8:30 stupid arrest (all easy felonies on a hype), lunch over around 9:30. 9:30-12:15 Doing nothing except answering calls. This way I cost the city even more money in all the costs assorted with court and I am off the street (more open space for the savages to kill each other). And it will put an extra 5 grand in my pocket for felony probable cause hearings. Make this job work for you. This is the way it works for me. I stopped doing special because of this. And I still have my RDOs.

At least two men were fatally shot in separate incidents overnight on Chicago's south side, continuing the string of weekend violence that has plagued the city over the last several months.
A 20-year-old Hispanic man was fatally shot in the abdomen in the 4600 block of South Marshfield Ave in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood late Friday night, according to police news affairs. The victim was standing outside on the street with friends when a group of male Hispanics drove by in a car and opened fire striking the victim, police said.
Following the shooting, the gunmen fled westbound on 47th Streets, according to police. Both the victim and the offenders are affiliated with street gangs, police added. The victim was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was pronounced dead.
Separately, a 26-year-old male black was fatally shot on the street in the 7700 block of South Union Avenue in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood about 2:20 a.m. According to police, several shots were fired at the victim from a car. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the shooter or shooters fled from the scene in their vehicle, police said.
No one was in custody in either of the shootings as of early Saturday morning.
SCC, I thought you might like to know that the Trib identified the victims of both incidents by race. As you can see, they also identified the offenders in the first incident by race. This might be the work of a summer intern who doesn't know any better, and not a new editorial policy. Now if they would actually do this for the really important stuff -- such as informing the public of the race of offenders committing sexual assaults, kidnapping kids and armed robberies.

FYI-Court TV has been out in several northside districts. Camera crews were filming traffic stops. The citizens were wired with digital recorders given to them by Court TV. Amazingly, Court TV was on scene of suspicious persons calls and man with gun calls waiting for police to arrive.
Why were the police on the scene?
Who called them thee and for what reason?
If they pull this again and you get the call for a disturbance of this type, be cautious. If you see a couple of dorks in the hood, call for additional cars before approaching.
That is of course is if they aren't
in the middle of a good ass kicking by the locals. If you able to get to them just ask in a loud voice if they are ok. Then leave.
Having your cellphone recording by accident could be explained.

1- Get an up-through-the-ranks proven police chief from a large urban city (one who really has no strings attached to any local Chinamen).

2 - Redefine "merit" to mean MERIT and not clout. (Sorry - but this is our POLICE FORCE, not some slugs on a garbage truck where each ward has to have their quota of people on - no matter how ill-skilled they are.)
Police are mission critical and what we pay for as taxpayers. Want to be a paper shuffler or a ride-around guy/gal doing nothing? Work in the Forestry department.

9 - PRIDE, PROFESSIONALISM, PERSISTENCE and PASSION for the JOB. If you don't have it - LEAVE. You are NOT the CPD that I know or want to pay for.
There are MANY taxpayers that respect the CPD - but not F Troop. Where do YOU fit in??

10 - Continual Improvement - REVIEW ALL PROCESSES and departments and see how you can make things better, more efficient, and more effective.

All nonsense. No one was beaten or otherwise injured. It's mountain out of a mole hill and more unfortunately, the sgt is an asset to the unit with his pro-training mentality and willingness to put his proverbial money where his mouth is. He may have made a slightly misguided decision in a situation where immediate and concise decisions had to be made, however, if he is dumped, it will be a loss to the unit.

Guys, read your ILCS regarding eavesdropping and possession of eavesdropping tools. it's completely lawful to record video/sound on traffic stops that are initiated for traffic. however, if they're stopped for non-IVC (terry-stop, followup investigation, etc.), once the person stopped disseminates the recording to the courtTV people or a third party they and courtTV are committing eavesdropping unless they can articulate reasonable suspicion that a crime was about to be committed. unless the ASA's sign off on it, Illinois has some of the toughest eavesdropping laws. they're always guilty of something guys.

1. Who the hell do you think has to pay for the award stupid? YOU pay with increased taxes next year. That is if you're actually the police and have to live in shitcago.
2. Won't have an effect on the officer? God are you an idiot! EVERYONE gets hit in the suit stupid! That means ANYONE can be hit for damages and that means the officer involved most definitely can be hit for damages, and this is usually an adjunct to hitting the city for damages. A REAL officer doesn't have the funds to stall off a monetary award which could cost him his home, any other assets he has, not to mention garnishing his wages for the rest of his life if necessary to fulfill the award. Any civil attorney will hit the officer ASAP to start getting money coming in faster than he'll get it out of the City. Even IF an award is not granted, you think YOU got the money to defend yourself from a blizzard of nonsensical motions for 2 or 3 years minimum? Doubt it, and you'll have no recourse to get back those attorney's fees either, which could very easily average 1000.00 a month IF you have a cheap attorney.

After 5 months of no parkers, a few movers (for court time) and 4 arrests (all on signed complaints, couldn't talk my way out of those - i tried) I've taken a different approach the last two weeks. I've taken myself off the street for three hours each shift. I make an arrest after I get my coffee. Now my new sched. 4-4:30 rollcall. 4:30-5:30 coffee, jobs pending. 5:30-8:30 stupid arrest (all easy felonies on a hype), lunch over around 9:30. 9:30-12:15 Doing nothing except answering calls. This way I cost the city even more money in all the costs assorted with court and I am off the street (more open space for the savages to kill each other). And it will put an extra 5 grand in my pocket for felony probable cause hearings. Make this job work for you. This is the way it works for me. I stopped doing special because of this. And I still have my RDOs.

i agree with you. this is what my partner and i do. we can't understand the do-nothing dogs that hate arrest. it takes you off the streets for at the very least 2 hours. if someone yells for backup, one of us will leave (yes we know they hate us doing that, but fuck it). if you make arrest on the right people, there will be no beefs. court time = money and comp time. staying off the streets = less presences by us = shitheads go at it more. it's not hard to find any easy arrest. shit almost every crackhead or whatever has someones ID/bank cards on them that don't belong to them.

I've always wondered about the eavesdropping law as it relates to recording us on the streets. I know it is lawful to record video on the public way, but audio (as all cameras and cellphones automatically do) is another story. Eavesdropping of a police officer while performing their duties is a class 1 felony, not that it would be approved by the asa's. All these audio recordings are inadmissable in criminal, civil, and adminstrative hearings. Can someone tell me if I'm right or retarded?

Worked 1st in 011. MM was a beat sgt there. I think it was 1114? 3 older guys. She HATED PC and J.O'C but she loved MF, she all but threw herself at him, but he wouldnt give her the time of day. He would'nt take one for the TEAM, and I dont blame him either.

She is a real pain in the ass to have as your sergeant unless she has the hots for you. She was suddenly dumped out of 018 a few years ago and the rumor is that she was constantly harassing valets and security that had ties to disgraced Commander Acosta and she had to go. There was a sergeants opening in 018 and she bid right back a few months after being dumped. There is also a rumor about her garage being torched by angry members of the watch when she worked on the west side, but I don't really know if there is any truth to that story. She seems to have a habit of falling in lust for P.O.'s but nobody has been interested in her. She actually talked a few guys in 018 into going skiing with her a few years ago and then took pictures of the three of them in the hot tub. She got into it with Captain K.A. and LT. M.S. in 018 on midnights over her alleged abuse of IOD after a car accident and they dumped her off her car and fucked with her until she bid off the watch. that's an interesting conclusion, but very true. a few years back NAGIS did a take down termed "humboldt pie" in humboldt park targeting the Latin Jivers around 1200 N Washtenaw. Within 2 weeks after that there was (if my memory serves me right) approximately 8 agg batt's w/ handgun and 1 homicide. All of these agg bats occurred from Division to North on Washtenaw. Was in 007 the other night as a guest (outside unit). All I can say is what I saw, and what I saw was nothing like what the few pooches on this blog preach. We were rockin and rollin, locking MF'ers up and everyone was backing each other up. It was great to see, from Beat guys to TRU and Traffic to Organized Crime. Keep your heads up and keep up the good work. 22 years and still loving it. To all you young guys, keep the faith, this job is what YOU make it. Fu$# all the dog asses, they will always be around.

Well the jerks hit 023/024 yesterday. My brother is a investigator for the Business affairs dept and was at a complaint and he and his partner got the guy selling on the street, etc. and he said he had a warrant. They call and get a squad to come over and all of a sudden he says this silly white chick comes and say "hey they can 't search you for no reason" Warrant guy just looks and she gets pissed. In the end he goes free but wife came on scene and my lil bro says stupid arse wife pops a warrant off of name chack not stupid hubby selling DVD's etc on street. Serves all of their stupid arses right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
