CPD Beats CFD

  • Chicago's police defeated its firefighters 13-4 in the annual charity baseball game Saturday at U.S. Cellular Field.

This was the 9th edition of the charity baseball game pitting Chicago's Bravest against Chicago's Finest, with the money raised to benefit charities supporting survivors of firefighters and police officers who died in the line of duty.
A great time was had by all. Good job guys.

Way to go boys!!

CFD is good for two things.

#1 - Men sleeping with men all night and talking about their hose.

#2 - See #1.

To bad the headline reads that the Bravest (CFD) beat the Finest (CPD). Journalism at it's best.

VERY IMPRESSIVE GAME.
OUR POLICE TEAM KICKED ASS.
THEIR TRIBUTE TO OFFICER FRANCIS HAD THE WHOLE PLACE TOTALLY SILENT. WOW.

what game were you watching, errors after errors is what I saw, our third baseman could barely make the throw to first. Yes we won but that's just because fire sucked worse than we did.

I really feel sorry for the CFD. I just watch an interview with Fire Commissioner John Brooks on ABC 7 News. Wow. This man failed to construct a single grammatically proper sentence. I'm not kidding. His "uhs" followed by additional "uhs" gave me a headache. The questions that were posed to him were softballs and he blew every one of them. His typical response was like this: "Uh public safety is our safety uh and uh we do the uh public safety uh." What the fuck?!!! At least banjo boy can communicate. Brooks' ability to convey a cogent thought was inferior to Daley's meanderings on his worse day. And firefighters are supposed to respect this guy? Wow.

It was a joint effort the CFD worked hard to put this together and BOTH deserve credit for the event.

Hey, morons. The finest and bravest are the names of the teams. You two just showed how ignorant you are and that you both do nothing but look for the negative EVEN in a positive event. Grow up. Nice job done by both clubs.

I actually wish we got along better with the boys of the CFD. We're all sort of in this together, and you know, they do run into burning buildings and all that shit, so they're not necessarily pussies. It's too bad all that bad blood started years ago, because they're in the same leaky boat that we are...

Yes idiot, I know it's the names of the teams. The CFD, know as Chicago's Bravest vs the CPD, know as Chicago's Finest. The headline reads "Chicago's Bravest defeat Chicago's Finest at the Cell" which would lead one to believe that the CFD defeated the CPD. Try to keep up or STFU!

The problem is that the majority of CFD act like fucking heroes and their shit don't stink. Whatever happened to humlity and low key. But someone has to be on top right. And thats CPD.

Brooks is Carother's man. Apparently, Bobby Hoff was supposed to get the nod but Daley said no because you can't have two men of the same race heading both depts simultaneously. The aldercreatures would not allow this to occur. So, I agree with you. This guy is a box of rocks but once again clout plays a key here.

Aaahh the youngness of the blog readers, the real issue always will be that the Firefighters went on strike.

They went on strike and held the city and its residents hostage.

Sadly more times than not we proved as police officers we could and did do both jobs while they were on strike.

"Hey moron" the point was that the mainstream media, as increasingly usual, got it wrong. How about you take your own advice and grow up and stop being so negative. I hope your not on the job. Yeesh.

The strike that those 'Bravest' went thru got us and ALL city employees in the state a collective bargaining bill and OUR contract. Wise Up Asshat....
