In the meantime, we were wondering along with a number of our commentators, what update J-Fed has for us about his promise to look into Mike's fate. We haven't heard anything in months now.
And speaking of updates, how about all those questions at the "town hall" meeting J-Fed held with Aunt Bea? Has anyone heard word one? All those promises to get back to people about things. Information requested. Anything at all?
Yeah, we didn't think so. The only thing that came out of those meetings was a loud and clear message to shut up and enjoy the screwing we're getting, demonstrated by that copper that got moved out of his spot after Bea and J-Fed found out who he was. So very typical.

Just as an FYI, to those of you who don't know, whenever someone says something like, "I don't have the answer to that right now, but i'll get back to you" they don't have answer at all. They will never get back to you.
It's one of those deflector phrases that they teach at the academy.
I sure hope that Mike gets paid bigtime for the medical fiasco that he had to endure. I hope when he gets out he is a millionaire. Keep the faith brother...

Message at town hall meetings was very clear. Shut up. Aunt bea will not tolerate any negative comments. Nothing was accomplished at town hall meetings.
Tell us more about the copper who got dumped by Cuello that you referred to in your last sentence. Inquiring minds (and those of us with inside jobs - my the way I have 29 years) want to know.
I donno, most health problems cops have is due to poor diet and lack of exercise.

Hey, Old Timer (and that is said with the utmost respect): you don't need to explain yourself to anyone. That is as it should be - Old Timers have worked for and deserve an inside spot if they want it. It's the young ones who have short time on, no work ethic, and all CLOUT who should explain themselves and be very, very ashamed.....

Oral arguments on Mike's appeal will be heard in mid September. This is news we have been waiting for! Although it could still be months before there is a decision, finally things are starting to happen. Keep writing Mike, he (we) really appreciate the support.

fyi, i know for a fact that the superintedent drafted a letter in regards to Mike. The letter has been sent and if you dont believe me ask the Mette family.

Really. Well, I have a blue shirt hanging in my closet, even though it's been twelve years since I wore it. It's one of those little reminders of where I come from. And I don't forget what it feels like to wear one or to BE one. Ever.

if its true about the letter for Mike I will be open minded to having the sup who is an ex- fed. I have worked with the feds and some of them are good people, SOME. But for the most part they are jack asses.

GOOD NEWS GUYS. i realized that i had contact cards and them tss traffic cards in my vest and tossed them in the garbage, thats right!! the good ole shit can. I will refuse to write em and anyother pro active work, after being let down by our fearless leaders so many times i finally gave up. tomorrow will be my 1st day of De-policing in my ghetto west side district.

They would be ashamed, if they knew what shame feels like.
But to feel shame, one must first have the capacity to feel respect, something that those referred to sorely lack.
Hell, even a stray dog feels respect, and gratitude, when treated with respect and kindness.

SCC some of us disagree with this embracing the convicted felon... sorry to say but do the crime do the time... yep, he drank, he threw a punch, he was convicted... After speaking with an older colleague this morning, and after he read me his well thought out rant regarding this issue I am saddened to see you censored it... Is it not OK to disagree with people in this forum? From what he read me nothing was untrue, nothing was out of line, and nothing was what should have been censored here... shame on you for that... Mette put himself in a bad situation.. Mette put himself in a situation that he should have known better to be in (college town, frat party, drunken morons??? PLEASE!) Blago actually might get involved, he has nothing to lose with his own impending legal difficulties. I hope my theory holds true and that he will intercede on Mike's behalf, we should start a media, letter writing campaign to him.
Blago needs any kind of good press and this would certaintly generate it.

The self defense claim was validated by the judge, yet disregarded in her ruling. How is that not a miscarriage of justice? Anywhere else in the United States of America, this charge gets laughed out of court - yes, even here in Crook County.

Crawl out from under the wrong side of your rock this morning, caveman? You must be a supervisor's dream come true.
You have no clue who I am or what kind of supervisor I am and I really don't care about that. What does matter to me is my crew is taken care of and maybe they learn something every day. I care that they're protected from the Department's nonsense and I don't barter with them to get numbers. I do what I can to make sure they go home safe, though, because we may all love this job, but I guarantee you this job doesn't love you back.
And THAT is why I do what I can do for the few people I can effect each day. And if you worked for me, I'd even do it for you, as difficult as you might try to make it for me, because that's what's right. It's not such a hard concept. Treat other people the way you'd like to be treated, until they make it impossible for you to do so.
