For Revenue You SIlly People

By hook or by crook, Daley will get his money:
  • Bucktown residents remained perplexed Monday as to why 127 cars were towed Sunday to make way for a neighborhood fun run.

A map posted on the Bucktown 5K Web site showed a race course that neighbors said wasn't used by runners.

The posted map also doesn't entirely match the route where Streets and Sanitation Department spokesman Matt Smith said tow zone warning signs were hung Thursday, and where cars were towed.

This reminds us of the upcoming annual "Snow Route" tows that usually net about 100 cars from people who forget to check the calendar for the winter parking restrictions. Anything to steal money from taxpayers, Daley is all over it.

The lack of parking tickets written by police officers is being covered by Dept. of Revenue folks and privatized other units. Your so-called not doing it is still being done. They actually do a better job of it.

Another BS Scam Shortshanks and the Street & San. have been running, has anyone noticed while riding around that S&S have began conveniently "forgetting" to take down Street Cleaning signs? They'll for Example clean one side of the street on a Monday, never take the sign down and then the next Monday when S&S are not actually cleaning the street you have the Dept. of Rev. roaming down the streets ticketing those who never moved their cars.

Give officers 3-4 key dates, we wouldn't pass up court if it was worth our while.

Fact is no one wants to work for these idiots that ruin, ehem...run our city.

Whatdaya know, one of mayor Shortshanks cronies is running for president. Sure, Chicago politics is just what we need in the oval office right now.

God Help Us!

I just received my property tax bill. It will cost me more than $100 a month more to own a house here. Someday I'd like a raise. Of more than 1.1%. So if the City wants to tow yuppies' cars - you know, the ones who keep voting for these bastards -in order to cover me, then that's just fine. The money's got to come from somewhere, and I'm getting a little tired of it being MY pocket.

I got hit with the same tactics with street sweeping signs A few weeks ago. Got home about 2345 after work, no signs up. Come out to the car around 1130 the next morning, signs everywhere and about 20 cars still on the block, all with tickets. Usually its only about 1 or 2 cars if the signs are posted in a reasonable amount of time. I contested it, haven't heard back yet.

And it's marathon weekend coming up, the tow yards will be full!

i live on the run course for this event. the signs were up friday morning when i woke up.

funny that everyone who lived on this course except the 127 people who had their cars towed managed to move their cars, yet somehow there were no signs posted?

anyone who knows bucktown can tell you that 127 cars equal about 3 blocks of parking, and we're talking about a 3 mile course here. that's 24 blocks. i think some of the yuppie fucks got a little too drunk on saturday night and didn't get up to move their cars and now they are bitching.

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago; 221 killed in Iraq.

Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin ,

Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.,

Gov. Rod Blogojevich,

House leader Mike Madigan,

Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike),

Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of Mayor Richard J. Daley)

.....our leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.

Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago.

Of course, they're all blaming each other.

Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

State pension fund $44 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look 'em up if you want).

Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country.

This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. And he's going 'fix' Washington politics for us!

That's nice... they can keep doing a better job of it and the citizens can hate them for it instead of us. While their at it why not just give every city employee a fucking ticket book and everyone can write each other bullshit tickets so that the alderman can give themselves another raise.

Same thing happened in Ravenswood. Signs were put up after dark the night before about a run and no parking, then at 6 in the am all cars were being towed. This city is so crooked and now stupid liberals want to put one of those crooks in the White House. Crazy.

Let's see...you're obviously not a cop or you would have said "our" instead of "your". You're not a citizen. Otherwise, you'd be upset that politicians have put salaried employees in place just to stick it to you. And, you sound to weasily and excited not to be a politician. Come forward...announce your office oh cowardly one.

What's the problem?

It hits 3pm on the day that they cleaned the street, citizens should take down the signs themselves.

The signs belong to the taxpayers who paid for them.

Hell, they make great scoopers for when you're walking the dog.

stop it zoch lives on my block and he writes all the neighbors, and rajewski was put in charge of the city clerks new office on archer and laramie to watch traci jones of hired truck scandal fame so she does not steal more! Hey IG instead of looking at the garbage trucks what about traci jones? Why by her does she still have vehicles everywhere improperly registers, and she is back in the trucking business with her husband the felon mick jones, again with no business license!

Hi People, Missy here.

I live with my lawyer husband in Bucktown. I seen the signs and moved my car.

My next door girlfrind did not. She got towed. I told her to obey the law and pay the fine. I only can wish to tow over a hundred cars a day in the loop.

Our beloved mayor is strict when it comes to parking enforcement. That is why we love this man so much.

Yes, my girlfriend next door is not talking to me any longer. I say to all "Obey the law people".

stay safe people.
Missy-001 district.
