Not everyone behaved themselves when celebrating U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s historic win Tuesday night.
Some fired gunshots, a felon accused cops of arresting him “because a black man won for president” and a teenager standing with throngs of passionate revelers used the opportunity to slap a police officer, Cook County prosecutors said.
“White bitches. F--- McCain. You white police can’t do nothing,” 19-year-old Celita Hart taunted officers as she stood with a throng of Obama supporters in the 6900 block of South Western Avenue, Assistant State’s Attorney Lorraine Scaduto said in a court Wednesday. At some point, authorities said, Hart left the crowd, which had been chanting “Obama, Obama,” walked up to a squad car, and smacked a male officer in the face.
Peer pressure seemed to get the better of 54-year-old Joseph Morgan, who allegedly was caught holding a .22-caliber gun in the air on his back porch in the 5700 block of South Lowe Avenue.
His excuse, according to prosecutors?
“Everybody else is shooting their guns, I figured, ‘Why not?’ ”

OT:...I love how this joke of a police department is more concerned with putting GPS in every car(it's for our safety haaaaaaa)but not providing us with the simplest tools to do our job like a FUCKING PDT! Even an old shit one would be nice. We haven't had a PDT in our tact car for well over a year and now there are five tact cars in our unit without one. But Getting GPS put in is a top priority though.
Another thing..We asked to take out a shotgun on election night and we were told NO! I knew that would be the answer because even when we used to do search warrants were we not allowed to take one out.(I just like to ask so I can watch the bosses shake and stutter.) In fact, in my 14 years of service I never took one out or saw anyone take one out. The funny thing is all the chicken shit bosses send us to shotgun training every year. Why? Whats the point? Yet, who is the Tact Lt from 023 who would not stop reporting nonsense on the radio?He kept yelling that people were running back and forth in a vacant field. I will tell how election night went. Me, my Lawyer husband Ira (Soon to be working for our new GRAT PRESIDENT), andmy uncle Tom Byrne (rtd) arrived at the Rally. Back stage of course. Our beloved Mayor got there when we arrived.
The smile on our beloved mayor's face was radiant. He is a shinning star, this great beloved mayor of ours.
People, I Missy the parking tickey guru got to see our Presdient elect from about 20 feet. What a handsome man our dear President elct is. His speech had me, Ira, and my uncle Tom crying for joy.
After the rally, we had dinner. WOW, I was lost for words. Our great Mayor told uncle Tom he spoke with the President Elect and that great things will happen to Chicago. I just was in space people. It is not like our mayor have not done great things for us people, but our greater can our dear mayor get people.
I think I had two cocktails and felt light-headed from all the excitement at Grant park.
My uncle Tom told me that I did not need to go to work Weds. I felt guilty not writing my usual 700 parkers on North Michigan ave for our mayor. You and I well know those "Slugs" that work the North Michigan Ave foor-posts do NOTHING but shop and drink coffe all day.
The commander of 018 told my uncle Tom he wished he had another "Missy" to help his stats and provide revenue for our great mayor.
People, if you think you can write over 500 parkers a day, I can get you a foot post to work Michigan Ave with me. Yes people, I have only 21 1/2 month as the police but I can train Parker writers.

My husband Ira told me I can get off my diet and get back to my usual weight of 170 lbs. I do feel better with a little more weight on. I got down to 159 pounds to fit into my formal wear for the elction rally.
Ira thinks he might have to commute to Washington while I remain in Chicago. He knows our city needs me and Washington needs him when he works for our new beloved president elect. Our new president knows Ira was an A.C.L.U lawyer and knows his stuff.

10-4-08 "Detective Joseph Airhart succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained seven years earlier while leading an FBI Task Force raid at the home of a bank robbery suspect. As the team entered the man's apartment the suspect opened fire, striking Detective Airhart.
The suspect then held Detective Airhart hostage for two hours before being taken into custody.
Detective Airhart remained in a coma for two months, but never fully recovered. He was unable to speak, walk or swallow food food. He died as a result of his wound on November 4, 2008.
Prior to Detective Airhart's death, the suspect had been sentenced to life in prison plus 132 years for the shooting and robberies.
Detective Airhart had served with the Chicago Police Department for 19 years at the time of the shooting."

First of all...why is that officer allowing any dirt bag to get close enough to slap him?
And why is that officer not using necessary force to effect the arrest and prevent further injury to himself or others by dropping that assailant to the ground like a lead weight.
YOU young officers out there better learn quick. The only time you can justify red man tactics is when it is happening. Otherwise the courts, State and the Dept consider that you get paid more then enough to get publicly abused. That is why you can't sign a complaint for disorderly conduct just for yourself. That is also the reason why the State will not give you felony charges unless there are broken bones.
The Dept spend a lot of time training you how to defend yourself on the street and how to properly use force while making an arrest.
Then again maybe that officer is so use of getting his face slapped by a women he just likes it?
Or maybe that women should have kissed his white face. Why? Obama's Campaign Not Meeting Payroll

There are a lot of Obama campaign workers who are not getting paid what they earned and they're not happy. Of course, a presidential campaign is a large and often times messy endeavor, so problems will inevitably arise. But Barack Obama pointed to his management of his presidential campaign as an example of executive experience so this failure to meet payroll is reflection of his management. This payroll disorganization is consistent with the disorganization that Dean Reynolds reported after he stopped covering Obama and started covering McCain:
Behind the scenes, where the public is not allowed, there are other differences.
Obama's campaign schedule is fuller, more hectic and seemingly improvisational. The Obama aides who deal with the national reporters on the campaign plane are often overwhelmed, overworked and un-informed about where, when, why or how the candidate is moving about. Baggage calls are preposterously early with the explanation that it's all for security reasons.
If so, I would love to have someone from Obama's campaign explain why the entire press corps, the Secret Service, and the local police idled for two hours in a Miami hotel parking lot recently because there was nothing to do and nowhere to go. It was not an isolated case.
The national headquarters in Chicago airily dismisses complaints from journalists wondering why a schedule cannot be printed up or at least e-mailed in time to make coverage plans. Nor is there much sympathy for those of us who report for a newscast that airs in the early evening hours. Our shows place a premium on live reporting from the scene of campaign events. But this campaign can often be found in the air and flying around at the time the "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric" is broadcast. I suspect there is a feeling within the Obama campaign that the broadcast networks are less influential in the age of the internet and thus needn't be accomodated as in the days of yore. Even if it's true, they are only hurting themselves by dissing audiences that run in the tens of millions every night.
There is so much more on the line being president of the United States than ever was when he was running for president. Considering this man hasn't run anything in his life except the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which didn't produce any of the results it was supposed to and has been considered a failure, Obama is, I fear, is unprepared for what he will face as president. The weight of the country's and to a degree the world's, security will be on his shoulders. For the entire time he ran for president, he insulted, maligned, belittled, and laughed at President Bush's governance. Well, now President-Elect Obama, the job will soon be yours. And you will have a hell of a lot more to deal with than the payroll for a few employees.
I had a guy in the back of my car on the Westside last night, and I asked him if he thought things were going to change. He told me things are going to get worse. When I asked him why, he said everyone is talking about how everyone thinks they can do whatever they want now because there is a black president. He predicted "killings" were going to go way up because guys on the streets thought they could get away with it. He at least, had enough sense to know better.

The following is an e-mail from a Lt. assigned to Grant Park......Chicago Police Dept.
Subject: Election night
Well, we now have a new president. At the least this should put cries of affirmative action to rest as Obama has proven that as a black man in the USA to can achieve anything...if you want to and you work hard. I'll judge as the 4 years unfold. First, I'll know the atmosphere of his presidency by the decision he makes about U.S.A. Fitzgerald. That will set the tone.
In the meantime, here's what the media hasn't told you AND NEVER WILL:
1. Obama's rally was somewhat peaceful due to the fact that about 70% of the attendees both in the ticketed and unticketed areas were white.
2. In the unticketed area (where I was) black teens turned over several porta-potties with people in them. They also caved in the roof of one by jumping on it. That particular porta-potty was for handicapped access and had an elderly female with a walker in it.
3. Calm was exibited by the some 300,000 people because there was a strict search for booze and no booze was sold.
4. A CPD squad car came under sniper fire in the 900 blk of N. Ridgeway and was struck by several gunshots. 2 arrests. No cops hurt.
5. Citywide 14 CPD squad cars were damaged by thrown rocks, bricks, bottles. 6 officers injured.
6. Madison, Chicago, 16th St, 47th St., 63rd St, MLK, Cottage Grove and Howard St. were closed for several blocks in either direction to account for crowds. Several businesses citywide were broken into and looted (clothing & liquor stores were the primary targets).
7. Riot police used gas on the crowds in the following districts: 2,5,11,15.
8. Within the first 30 minutes following the announcement of a new president, the 7th District received 104 seperate calls of shots fired.
9. It took 2.5 hours following the closing of Grant Park to clear the Loop of rovings crowds and reopen traffic. Although no arrests were made in Grant Park, 19 arrests were made in the Loop (2 for UUW); these don't include those made on the train platforms or subways.
10. Snow plows were lined up on Monroe between LSD/Columbus; Roosevelt between State/Canal, to be used a mobile barricades to control unrult crowds. My platoon has 6 trucks for Butler Field where the majority of the crowd was.
11. Tact Lts assigned to the details were equipped with 100 flex cuffs; 2 plastic riot shields and 10 large canisters (fire extinguisher size) of pepper gas to deploy at their discretion.
12. At the debriefing, the bosses simply said "We got lucky."
It was really funny listening to those ghetto fools. They really believe its gonna be easy street for them. They were hollering waving lawn signs just acting stupid. This is what the media should show on the news.

I was at the Grant Park detail so if several thousand people started running in one particular direction, I would like to know why. No helmets, no gas masks, and CPD was outumbered by 800-1: I was glad to know what was going on. It's called officer safety.
I saw a large group of people running in Grant Park on tv. They seemed to be rushing in as a large group.
That Officer was correct.

A free media which claims to be an unbiased press but, is in fact is a press which does everything in its power to get a political party elected, is performing an end around our constitution. Frankfort police officers will be getting a 4 percent salary hike each year for the next three years, under a new contract agreement.
The village board ratified the collective bargaining agreement with Teamsters Local 714 Monday night for its 23 officers, who have been working without a contract since May 2007.
"We tried to find a fair compromise," village administrator Jerry Ducay said. "It took a lot of research and comparable data. In the end, we hoped to have a positive contract. Sometimes it takes time."
According to Police Chief Robert Piscia, "It is the same contract we've had. We just addressed economic issues." The new pact expires in May 2010.
Base pay for a starting patrolman was increased from $38,000 to $41,500, and goes up to $69,950 with five years experience, the chief said. "We try to keep in line with other departments, like Mokena." The pay is retroactive to May 2007.
Ducay said other contract provisions include:
• Increased pay for special, non-permanent, duties.
• A hike tuition reimbursement from $100 per credit hour to a maximum of $200 per credit hour.
• One additional holiday - Martin Luther King Day.
• Unlimited accrual of sick time, which is now capped at 600 hours.
"It makes more financial sense to let them accrue it," Ducay said. "When an officer calls in sick, someone else must be called in and paid overtime. We are trying to discourage the use of sick time."

Police Pepper-Sprayed Us for Celebrating Obama Win, Family Claims
A hate crime lawsuit was filed this week against several Chicago police officers, accusing them of pepper-spraying a family group, including children, who were celebrating Barack Obama's win.
Christine Ballard and Cornelius Voss said they were driving with their children and other relatives on Election Night when an unmarked squad car passed them. The officers allegedly made some racial comments and pepper sprayed the group.
"At that point, I could not breathe, and that's when my kids started hollering ... 'Mommy, it's in my face, I can't see,'" Ballard said.
The group was treated at a local hospital, but they said police would not file a report. The lawsuit is also asking the Police Department to help determine who the officers were.
I guess this is just the start of "spreading the wealth".

It upsets me to be a part of a family (CPD) that treats a certain race of people (BLACK) with such disgust and embarrassment.
Some of you may not ever understand the enormity of having an African American elected to be president. But for those of us that does understand, give us the opportunity to live it and enjoy history without being mocked or ridicule for being happy, overjoyed, and ecstatic. America is a free country that was built on freedom from some and later acknowledged for all. The fact of the matter is that we live in a freedom based society. So, accept it and learn to be more respectable towards those ideals.
Albeit, that some of you are disappointed in the election of Barack Obama and it is okay to be disappointed. But, it is not okay to treat people badly or unfairly due to the fact they are happy with the election of Obama. In 2008, we should already know to get along and accept one another’s differences. You, as Chicago Police officer should uphold the ideals of respect, truth, and service.
For those of you that did things that were harmful and hurtful to people as they celebrated on Nov 4th, you all should be ashamed of yourselves. It was shameful and painful to hear of the acts that some CPD officers did to people that we merely celebrating.
I am proud to be an officer, but sometimes the acts of my fellow officers put my sincerity and dedication to test.
As far as I know Midway cannot accommodate a Boeing 747 like Air Force One so it has to land at O"Hare. There are plenty of places they can put Marine One, the helicopter. It takes off from the White House lawn all the time.
One of our helicopters was landed at the Auto Pound at Grand and Rockwell during Election Night.
I wonder if they had to pay the $160.00 to get it out?
Those motorcades make a mess out of traffic; that will lose him some votes here in 2012.

If in fact some unknown police officers went aroung macing people and driving away, as has been alleged (along with verbal abuse), then I would be ashamed of that.
If it is true, it isn't remotely appropriate behavior by any police officer at any time. However, you have jumped to a conclusion here that is unreasonable. You are looking at the situation through your own filters and not objectively.
I know a lot of people who object to the president elect, not because of his racial makeup, but because of where he comes from (chicago) and his associates (POLICE OFFICER KILLERS).
The feeling of elation that one of one's own race is the "first" to be elected president - well that is nice, but it shouldn't be something that lasts too long, there is so much else involved other than the race of the president.

Air Force One (AF1) is any plane the President is riding, not just the 747 that everyone normally associates AF1 with.
During the DNC in 1996, President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore left Chicago from Midway. Each was on their own Presidental 727 (or 707... not sure). Those planes had the same markings and pretty much the same high tech presidental stuff as the well known 747... only smaller.
Of course, the President and Vice President NEVER fly together on the same plane... for obvious reasons.

This country is a makeup of many different people with many different backgrounds; the GREAT thing is that we all have our own choice, decision, and VOICE to vote for whomever we feel will do the best job... Remember that line - WHOMEVER WE/I WILL DO THE BEST JOB.
To disrespect a fellow officer and devalue their respective opinion speaks volume about you as an individual and more than anything, your work ethic. If you define racism as being overjoyed for a man who is African- American, you will probably need to go to a dictionary and get a better definition of RACISM.
Racism, by its simplest definition, is the belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. People with racist beliefs might hate certain groups of people according to their racial groups.
When Clinton was election president, I, too, was overjoyed, elated, and very happy. So, what does that make me... a racist...?
Just to break it down in lament terms for you, the fact that Obama has a racial make-up of African descent helps young african-american's and other minorities believe in the DREAM that they, too, can be President of the United States regardless of skin color or sex.
