Find This Quote - NOW!

From the comments:
  • The Sun times reports that Jody has decreed that it's a waste of time arresting gang sponsored street drug operations. I'm sure that the GDs, the Kings, and all the other assorted gang scum are celebrating tonight. They have a free pass now from our nitwit leader. My god, what a total fool this guy is. There will be a statue of him in the Stupid Hall of Fame.
This is about the third or fourth comment that we've seen in the past three days alleging this statement took place. We've been looking and can't find it. We either want to see it in print or debunk it. Because this would be a monumental gaffe or tectonic policy change - we aren't sure which.

Provide the link or quash the rumor.

Hate to say it, but I agree. I see tac and gangs bringing in all kinds of dope arrests every single day and for what? Dude they locked up is released the next day on bond, goes back to selling, gets locked up again, released again, and so on. It's not worth it. Let them sell their poison to each other, let them kill each other. Takes me a few minutes to write the GOCR and I can then ride it into lunch or check off.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a change! The chicken wanted change!

JOHN MC CAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

SARAH PALIN: Before it got to the other side, I shot the chicken, cleaned and dressed it, and had chicken burgers for lunch.

JOE BIDEN: I knew that chicken before it crossed the road.

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of crossing the road?

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure right from Day One! that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENEY: Where's my gun?

COLIN POWELL: Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

AL GORE: I invented the chicken.

JOHN KERRY: Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken's intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.

AL SHARPTON: Why are all the chickens white ? We need some black chickens.

DR. PHIL: The problem we have here is that this chicken won't realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he's acting by not taking on his current problems before adding new problems.

OPRAH: Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems, which is why he wants to cross this road so bad. So instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life, I'm going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

ANDERSON COOPER, CNN: We have reason to believe there is a chicken, but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.

NANCY GRACE: That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

PAT BUCHANAN: To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.

MARTHA STEWART: No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.

DR SEUSS: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I've not been told.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY: To die in the rain, alone.

GRANDPA: In my day we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.

BARBARA WALTERS: Isn't that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time, the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.

ARISTOTLE: It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken 2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs. This new eChicken is much more stable crossing the road than previous versions.

ALBERT EINSTEIN: Did the chicken really cross the road, or did the road move beneath the chicken?

COLONEL SANDERS: Did I miss one?

SHORTSHANKS: If the chicken don't use the crosswalk, ticket him. We need the revenue.

J-FED: It's a waste of time chasing chickes crossing the road to by dope from the gangbangers.

Chicago's Top Cop Questions 'War on Drugs'
Produced by Ammad Omar on Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Chicago’s top cop says it might be time to re-think the so-called “War on Drugs.”

Jody Weis says rising violence is a bigger issue for police on the street.

WEIS: I hate to say it, but if you have a gang that’s simply selling drugs and not killing anyone, that’s not on our priority list. There are far too many that are engaged in simple violence.

Weis says the price of cocaine hasn’t gone up in almost twenty years. That leads him to believe the supply remains steady, despite government efforts to stop the flow of drugs.

When asked if marijuana should be legalized, Weis wouldn’t offer a direct answer. He says that question should be left to legislators.

"simply selling drugs"??? "simple violence"??? The only thing simple is understanding the fact that gangs, drugs and violence go together.

Is there any gang involved ONLY in drug selling without all the violence?

J-Fed is not a police officer and this is why he doesn't know how to talk like the police. He lived in a totaly different world and has no business being the boss of the chicago police department. Watch out guys. When he makes stupid comments like that he may stick it up your ass if you get a beaf for trying to arrest drug dealers. He talks like a paper ass-hole! He should also take time for endorsing Barack Hussein Obama. DO NOT trust him! Just look what he did to Bill Cozzie! He will go around the department protocol to get you!

J-Fed says it is a waste of time to lock up dealers if they are not killing any one.

But how do you tell if they are killing anyone.

Drug turf wars are not settled by quiet conversation. Or by rock-paper-scissors.

So do you just them sell anywhere they want to? Like in front of grade schools? Or inside churches?

I typically don't agree with J-Fed, but on this I kinda' (yes, Kinda) do. I know from doing this for a while that the shitheads will still keep killing eachother. I know this. It would go from, "My money is on this block--- to --- You looked at me funny, and the "Offender" would still get shot in the ass. I don't agree with the violence. I just know the street a bit. You used to get into a fight, box or wrestle(Big Difference) and whover lost, lost. They didn't come back with a gun and shoot whover was there. They may have come back with more skils, but never a gun (well, rarely depending on where you grew up.)
You want to legalize drugs, Then Jody, you go right the fuck ahead. I am saving this quote, and actually calling the paper tomorrow to get a hard copy for when you indict me for not arresting the gang banger with the pack because he gave me a gun turn in. Remember this. I will.

Go after the people buying the drugs. Impound their cars and make them pay to get them out. Might as well make money for the City out of busting the people purchasing the drugs that come in from the suburbs with mommy or daddy's car. If you just turn your head and let this go on without doing anything, the next victim may be your own parents, grandparents, wife, children, being victimized for money to buy dope. Maybe Jody needs to be the victim of a crime to get pissed off enough not to make or believe in what he said.

Well, it IS a waste of time. Other than get some OT for PO's it doesn't do much except
another CB on asshole's sheet.

Small amounts always get tossed on no PC. I for one, will not arrest someone on a charge that I know will be tossed and then laid in my lap based on a judge's finding of no probable cause.

I have to listen to the judges, if they keep finding no probable cause, how long till we start getting sued. No thanks. If they want me to charge them with small amounts of drugs I will do it only on direct orders or if they start prosecuting the cases.

I give a shit if it is against the law. Laws that are not prosecuted shouldn't be enforced. And if news media want to know why we should provide case numbers and the thousands of no probable cause findings which are documented on offender's rap sheets.

If they want to decriminalize drug use then do it, but I will not be middled by constant findings of no probable cause.

NAGIS street corner conspiracy operations are a big drain on resorces we no longer have. Those man hours would be better spent in blue and whites - a better bang for your buck. They seldom end in any meaningful jailtime.

Now a longtime conspiracy team dedicated to a street gang, like the Spanish Cobra task force in A/5., that's money well spent. Information and arrests available throughout the length of the investigation and a big payout at the end. Big jail time and a gang that is decimated. The Lt and Sgt running it are top notch. That is the key to operations like this. They got good guys for the team and worked with them. By the way, I have nothing to do with the team.

Holy SCC Me Batman!!!

Street Corner Conspiracies cause more violence in the community after the arrests are made then they actually serve in any real crime reduction.

Taking down an operation only leaves a void for about a few weeks giving a false sense of accomplishment for police and safety for the community.

This type of drug enforcement only increases violence. It is a very stupid strategy that has become a media circus for the da mayor.

Don't believe me. Look at the stats! Look at the locations effected by a SCC operations before and after. Violence increases dramatically after. Look at the release of inmates going back into these communities. Money is the cause. Take the profit out of the drug trade. If you can't make any money on drugs then you just kill the game.

Maybe the socialist will legalize dope and tax it to pay for his free health care plan. What a great idea?

I don't like drugs. I have never taken drugs. And yet, it's hard for me to tell someone else what they can do to their body. I'd rather have them OD and support Darwinism than have my tax money going to pay for their rehab every 3 years when they fall off the wagon.

J-Fraud did make a comment to that effect according to the Sun-Times. I saw the article. It was several weeks ago and J-Fraud was pretty much saying that if a gang or thugs are just selling dope but not killing people he wants the police department to focus on the gangs that sell drugs and are killing people. He pretty much implied that if your selling drugs but not killing people you're not really worth our attention. I don't remember the exact date of the article but it was in the Sun-Times I'd say within the last 6 weeks. It was an article covering a group that J-Fraud had addressed.

first off jody, the gang violence among the black gangs is mostly related to drug sales. the hispanic gangs shoot eachother because they are nuts. pookie will usually only shoot because someone is selling in his spot, or they are pulling off a dope rip...now pookie shoots for many other reasons like hes had just a little bit too much to drink and hes trying to "keep it real" but that just because pookie is a big dumb animal when he drinks. anyway, j-fed... the drug sales and they boys on the corner leads to the violence. if the boys are out on the corner just 'simply' sellin dope, im sure you all can agree with me, the pistol is put up somewhere very close incase they see some rivalry on the block. j-fed... this is just more proof that you have never been a street cop.

You really need to get out more often.
Come on by - I just got a new HD for the basement and with the dish, I get the naked people channels.
Yes, come on over, let me show you the new pit, sorry - I meant "pool table" in the basement...

Make it an ANOV, give 'em a fine of $150 for first offense, $300 for 2nd, etc. That will solve the problem. Drinkers get more penalized than weed smokers anyway. If you get caught smoking a rock and you probably will be better off than that dude drinking a 40 oz.
If you beat a gun case, there is no fine. If you get caught with no insurance twice it's a $500 fine?????????????
It's amazing no one wants to write traffic. It's the most effective tool. What better way to mess with some scumbag than to write 3 tickets and take his damn car away from him.
It's not always about not generating revenue for the city.

OK then, if that's the way he feels about it, then I know he will not support us if we step in you know what during a drug pinch. The hell with it, why bother. This is the one thing that people will actually talk to me about, getting the drug dealers off their block and they beg for help. I want to help them but how can I when our BOSS says it's not a priority? Surely he will hang us out to dry and just as surely the people begging for help won't step up and support us either, I give up.

J FED can I suggest you begin watching a program titled "Gangland?"
It will give you a short but concise history of each and every gang in Chicago and others nationwide. It documents their brutal control of "territory" by all means to further their profits.

J FED, the only ones selling drugs in Chicago and not using violence to do so ARE YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD Walgreens and CVS pharmacists. You sir, are a fool.

Weis questions the war on drugs...

Maybe he was watching those episodes of "The Wire" when Bunny Colvin designed Hamsterdam!

If he were to imitate Colvin, where do you think he'd put Hamsterdam? 2? 7? 11? 15?

Maybe a REAL law enforcement officer could clue Jody Weis in and let him know that Drugs are the lifeblood of the gang and much of their violence is a direct result of the drug trade. It is time for Weis to go and give the job to a REAL cop

Take the profit out of the drug trade. If you can't make any money on drugs then you just kill the game.

And what game will replace it?? A job at McDonald's or Robbery and Home Invasions???

Legalize it.

Then, let big pharm produce it and sell it over the counter at Osco, like alcohol and cigarettes. Suddenly the bangers won't have a commodity to sell and their entire economy will collapse.

Th whole reason the GDs and Vice Lords are as powerful as they are is because they are effectively big corporations with a captive audience. Give them legal competition and they will have to shift into other stuff, perhaps some legit enterprises.

Hey 1:06 AM. We lost the war on drugs a long time ago, and if you want to tell me I should go work in some career other than law enforcement then you are blind to how the world works these days. And just because pookie jumped into the bag seat of your car with two rocks in his sock or a little baggie of weed, that don't make you the real police.

The "war on drugs" accomplishes nothing except to create really good spots for those at 189 and 26th and Calif and countless other places.

The answer is to legalize it, tax it, and make the dope boys get REAL JOBS!

For the person that dont know nothin....If you lock the dope dealer up and he's out on bond . You lock him up again the next day for the same thing, then you have 2 charges 1 for dope and the other for violation of bail bond.
J-fed should ride in a beat car so he can see what the f...we deal with. Maybe he'll be happy with a gang banger dope dealing asshole in front of his house

So much for the "broken windows" theory of policing - just let everything go to shit now. Really, when I was actually doing police work, those one rock CB#s were very helpful - everybody was in the system with photo, tatoos, old address etc. But why would anyone do police work now? Without the support of the community and even our own organization, it is like going out without a vest. The legal and moral backing of our department is just as important as a bullet proof vest. Young aggressive officers be careful - you may want to work, but the time is not right. These non police civilian suits (Jfed and his buddies included) leading our department may be good administrators, but they have NO concept of police work. They will hurt you because they don't know the difference between aggressive police work and misconduct. Do not put your family and carreer on the line for them - they wil hurt you.

FACT: Jfed has an abnormally large prefrontal cortex. If that is the case, he should be able to regulate impulsive behavior and or speech to a higher degree than the average human. This does not seem to be the case because this creepy Cabbage Patch Doll is always sticking his foot in his mouth.

Pres. elect Obama wrote about his frequent marijuana binges as a h.s. and college student, and his cocaine use in college.

He spoke frequently while a state legislator about drug offenses being addressed as a public health issue and not as a criminal issue.

So it doesn't suprise me that Jody is towing the line and voicing a similar belief.

The bangers are already in charge.

SAD FACT!

Beat guys should be making more of these smaller dope pinches but the tact and gangs being pressured for the pinch a day stuff...well you're not going to lower the violence one rock or nickle at a time..they need to focus on more serious stuff..

11/06/2008 11:44:00 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I think he just misstated himself..Clearly violence is up and lets face it, many tact and gang teams are bringing in a nickle or a rock, just to get their daily pinch and then they're done..More emphasis needs to be paid on the gang conflicts, finding the guns and heading off the violence and less on a pinch a day..Looks to me that's what he meant...And let's not even get into the public drinker arrest, loose cigarettes, and the teams who take shoplifters...It's not that dope needs to be ignored but tact and gangs need to step up their game and focus on bigger fish...
