Given that we haven't had a president with a primary residence in Chicago ever and Chicago drivers are ranked fairly high on the "impolite" scale:
Traffic tip for the days ahead: If you see a motorcade with police cars, black SUVs and guys with sunglasses talking into their cuffs, don't try to cut it off.
One couple tried to drive their tan sedan around Barack Obama's motorcade downtown Thursday morning and found themselves looking at the barrels of Secret Service firepower.
Perhaps a new page in the Illinois Rules of the Road handouts? He's going to be in town a couple of times a year we're sure. He's got to consult with Shortshanks about how to run the country you know.

Did the alleged offenders get a C.R. number on the secret service? Did the SS do a TRR? Did they activate their cameras and follow the 8 step protocal. If they gave them a break did they fill out a traffic study card? Most importantly (Drum roll), were the Agents wearing their seat belts? They better look out for Inspector Big Bird!

The U of C has already been contacted for permission to land Presidential helicopters where the university lands their emergency organ donor helicopters. Or the second option is the future site of the olympics in Washington Park.

when he flries into o'hare will he use the motorcade all the way home? It would be a nightmare all streets blocked off! Maybe he will land at O'Hare and helicopter to uofc hospital use there heli-port and then motorcade to his home, that would be the best route! Lets hope he puts more money into police in chicago so we could maybe get a decent raise, and hell even some new cars! The suburbs were here for obamapalooza and I personally was embaressed, with the junker cars we had, they pulled up with nice new equipment we have shit! Home of the President but we have ghetto trash cars and no contract something to be proud of? Guess not! But daley spent his campaign money to put up obama banners around city hall kind of like a "get out of jail free card" for the most corrupt mayor in American history! Now if Fitzgerald gets moved they will have no fear at all, back to the duffs and hired trucks running rampant, and giving away more city land! Can't use the helipad at UofC as its to small to hold Marine 1. Maroon Thunder is a jet copter but its much much smaller then Marine 1. Likely that the will land him in Washington Park near the Armory. The U of C has a very strict policy that only their helicopter lands on the roof 1 because the pad is above of the Dtower which is the intensive care center. The last time a private helicopter landed, the pilot lost control due to wind and crashed over the side into the Ambulance bay and the tail rotor went through the walls of the 4th floor. They have made the U of C the main evacuation hositpal for him, so look for them to go back to a level 1 trauma center again.

They will have to build a heliport with buildings.
"Marine One" is just one of three copters that fly together, and land together, so this will have to be a large, paved area with lights, windsocks, communications and parking.
We did have a nice set up at O'Hare, but since there was a republican president, they tore it down so his buddy could get a demolition contract. That area is now just a cargo ramp.
We are gonna be on first name basis with Secret Service agents over the next 8 years.

Yes, we all showed up in our new or newer cars and SUVs with all the toys and equipment. Your right asshat, the suburbs do buy in less quantities that the city WOULD have to buy, but look around idiot..that the problem! the city ISNT buying ANYTHING for its troops. My municipality buys 10-12 cars a year. They go to patrol FIRST, the Det's second. The bosses drive(now hold your breath for this one) the det sections hand-me downs..! What does a boss need a new car for? answer: they dont! its a status symbol. The 2005 CV with 70,000 will get you to the office/chinese restaurant/back to the office and home just fine! Its a matter of priorities! all the beat cars where I work have PDT's, carry M4's(all of them..see..you dont have to pass a power test, you just have to know how to shoot the fucking thing!)..and we all carry Tasers and a few other less than lethal options. So yes..we do buy less..but we BUY! and I really feel sorry for my CPD brothers and sisters, the city expect results when they treat you all like redheaded atep children. ohhh..and that ILEAS activation..that wasnt to give us lowly suburban coppers a free tour of 007(guided by some goof inspector that hadnt seen the street since the Carter administration).
