Are we seeing things?

The other day, we get a dusting of snow and every plow in the world is out there, pushing the dust around, salting so much we have to chisel off the coating on the windshield and Daley is telling everyone that he read Streets the riot act and aldercreatures are promising not to redirect tax money since Picardi and Company "have seen the light." We must have seen twelve plows inside of the thirty minute ride home.

Today, we get a few inches and damned if there isn't a plow to be seen. Anywhere. The streets suck, intersections are hideous again and side streets are like glass. It can't just be us. "Snow Command" under reacts for all of December, makes a brave show in the first few days of January to impress the rubes, then returns to the December plan?

Those briefcases full of cash for the Olympic Committee must be pretty full by now. Can we have a contract please? And some cars that run? And a reasonable effort at keeping the streets clear in a proper and sane manner? Thanks.
