There Were Cameras?
Federal authorities used a video camera as part of their cache of tools to investigate Gov. Blagojevich in the final weeks of 2008 before his arrest, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.
The camera, which likely was remote-controlled, was trained on the Friends of Blagojevich offices, 4147 N. Ravenswood, to help FBI agents identify individuals entering and leaving the campaign offices -- and to identify who was talking on bugs agents covertly planted inside.
And they had taps on at least six phones? Hahahahahahahaha. Honestly, you couldn't make this crap up and here's Blago living it. We think he's fighting a losing battle, but there's no reason he can't take a whole bunch of people down with him. It's not like he's Sorich or some low level functionary and they can give him some dead end job after he serves 18 months in the pen. He's the governor and he's got such a bad image he's not going to be doing any lobbying or legal work or even selling real estate after this is over.
And here's another symptom of the problem facing Illinois politics:
The only thing that ought to surprise anyone is the length and breadth of the corruption.
And here's another symptom of the problem facing Illinois politics:
Gov. Blagojevich was impeached for the second time on Wednesday — and like the first go-round, the unpopular governor drew at least one vote of confidence.
Newly sworn-in Rep. Deborah Mell, the governor’s sister-in-law, was the only member of the Illinois House to vote against impeachment. The vote was 117 to 1.
The only thing that ought to surprise anyone is the length and breadth of the corruption.

I wonder how many hours of tape show him sitting on his ass and laughing at this state for electing him.
And do you really think that the Big O's people aren't gonna get caught up in all this?
Get some popcorn, this is about to get interesting...
He might have to have a second string cabinet, just to fill the spots vacated by scandal on a weekly basis.
Change is funny.

Toddler has something like 17 or more relatives earning $100,000 plus on the county payroll.
Who do you want him to hire, Obama's relatives?
the name of this blog should be..while the city sleeps.
At least the cameras were working.
The last five times I tried to get POD video during investigations, I get the "hard drive failure" excuse or no responce or video at all.
OEMC with their "Virtual Shield" moniker is absolute bullshit.
They don't work, transmit or whatever. The cost of these for what the public doesn't get is unreal.
The CTA cameras, on the other hand, yield high quality, useable images.
Ant thoughts?
Maybe one of the media types could file a Freedom of Information Act request -asking how many requests for images result in a negitive yield.
I'm betting 60-70% or better.
Hey, lets start a pool for a dollar a guess - Oh wait...That would just be wrong...
and that is why Rep. Mell should be impeached. she is looking at family ties not what is best for the state or what the Law says. Nepotism at this level should be impeached.
I agree with your description of Toddler, kinda, with all his relatives on the payroll. But since I have two relatives on the job with me and know of many brother/brother, brother/sister, father/mother/son/daughter, uncle/aunt/cousins....members on our job..you get the idea. Maybe on this one we shouldn't throw too many stones.
"Gov's Gone Wild" Thank you for the several minutes of gut splitting laughter.
Getting out of here soon. This City has far too many Kool-Aid Drinking Dumb-Fucks residing here.

Really? What state are you living in? Unless he rolls over and names names, Blago will be sitting on boards and commissions, earning a healthy stipend for each one, for the rest of his life.
I thought it didn't count if you are married in to it?! O muerta

No shit. What is this stupid bitch trying to prove? She puts her stupid sister and brother in law above me?
That's what you get when people are "appointed" through the hacks that have been in office for years and years and years.
Somebody ought to slap her. Stupid asshole.

A Bellwood police officer shot in 1999 headed for Springfield in his squad car on Wednesday -- with several other law-enforcement and public officials also making the trip -- to try to halt an early release from prison for the man convicted of shooting him.
Bellwood resident Danyell Brown was sentenced to 24 years for shooting the officer, Jason Williams. But after serving nine years in prison, Brown, who was 20 at the time of the shooting, has been granted a clemency hearing with the hopes that Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich will sign off on his release.
The hearing before the Illinois Prisoner Review Board is expected to begin Thursday.......
