War of Secession Coming?
Even as we speak, President Lincoln Toddler is mobilizing the Army of the Potomac Sanitary and Shipping Canal to bring the Confederate suburban forces to heel:
*Palatine Township: disconnect from Cook County. Yes 9,684 No 3,503 (85 of 92 precincts, advisory only)
*Barrington Township: disconnect from Cook County. Yes 942 No 477 (12 of 14 precincts, advisory only)
*Hanover Township: disconnect from Cook County. Yes 3,492 No 2,021 (50 of 57 precincts, advisory only)
At least one of these townships conducted a study that purported to show they sent $18 million to the Cook County government and receive just a $4 million dollar return for roads, court services and other assorted minutiae. If they secede from Cook County, they can rebate their tax base some portion of the $14 million difference or offer up more and improved services to their taxpayers.
Stroger on the other hand, would have to make up $14 million from the remaining Cook County population just to pay his cousins. If all three townships carry through on the process, the hole in Stroger's budget might top $50 million.

How can the city survive with over 10% taxes? They are running businesses out of town. We are the next Detroit. Daley knows it. He is selling off all our resources in hopes of using the money for the Olympics.
I don't even feel bad about shopping in Indiana. Too bad for the people who have to shop in Chicago and they are the ones who can least afford it.

During good economic times, the public endured the incompetence of our elected officials in Crook County. Now that it's crunch time, the public is demanding accounting of our leaders. Unfortunately it's too late; there's Too Many Dummies in charge.
Palatine and Barrington Townships encompass wealthy areas. Or what used to be wealthy areas; the citizens up there are feeling the effects of the economy too. Foreclosures are going through the roof up there.
Civil unrest of the middle-class isn't far off. If you don't believe it, take a look at the last public demonstration in London; the middle-class were the majority of protesters.
This is it......they finally pushed too far and the people are pushing back.....peacefully, for now.
Just wait till they come for our guns.

Actually, the entire county populous votes on it now not the county board. Of course toddler will have all his relatives and reverends go out and tell his people in chicago(which has more votes than all other townships in this county combined) to vote no so he can still rule.

Palatine-Barrington, can get whatever laws are in effect changed, by VOTE, and can buy their water from another source. It would be well worth it to sever ties to the Crookedest City and County in the former [pre HUssein] USA.
How about a Boycott of the Taste by ALL brother FOP members nationwide, their friends, and Families, and any others sympathetic to our Cause. This could be done by having FOP purchase advertisements, and by word of mouth.

I live in Barrington Township and would love to see "Lincoln" county come to form, but it will NEVER happen. I would also love to someday eat my words, but we all know it's true. The law will never be changed.
A frustrating aspect of living in Crook County but not Chicago itself is that we can't vote Daley out, but we are subject to his whims as he controls Crook County through Stroger and his cronies.

Supposedly former state senator Wendell Jones had a plan and bills to create a new county many years ago, but it obviously didn't happen. The same option exists today at the state level, assuming the votes could be found.
Suzzi Bassi and Matt Murphy (State Rep and Senator for Palatine area) supposedly have bills up that would remove the requirement for the 'rest of the county' to approve a secession. At least the local newspaper said so. I'm writing them both to encourage it.
Another option would be to just let Chicago become its own festering pustule of a county along with any neighboring municipalities that choose to stick with it.

So, transfer to an adjacent county.
Problem solved.
They will try to drive any decent citizen out of this county. We are taxed up the ass, with nothing in return. We get the worst service possible. They do not want to give cpd contracts, but they have money for the Olympics. Where does all the money go? Do they think that decent people survive on hot chips and grape pop, like the ghetto rats? Real people actually care about their family’s education and health, and its takes real money to accomplish that, not a government check.

Whatever purpose it once served is long gone. A lot of the services that keep them in business are ones they created when it became clear they were becoming obsolete.

Urban township government is something that probably should be eliminated. They serve a solid purpose in rural areas, but are just an extra lawyer of government in urban areas.
Can we convince the shit wards in the south and west to do the same?
Just grandfather in all the City employees and let the failures that are the aldercreatures out there incorporate and run their own little fiefdoms.
Must be good to have Chicago sucking down all of resources in Cook County.
