Daley is the laughingstock of the world and he expects to get the Olympics. Rich Daley=Delusional.
South to s/e bound Kennedy ramp area, just under Western Ave south of Logan Boulevard (from north to south), is so bad that my head hit the roof. Amazed the tires didn't blow.
Isn't it a shame the IOC didn't get lost in one of these craters?
It must be the high quality of the asphalt we use, (wink - wink).

After a fortnight in beautiful Cape Town this winter and en route to a photo safari in the Serengeti, I spent a couple of nights in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. The sinkholes are certainly worse than those of runner-up Chicago.
I met briefly with President Robert Mugabe, a brilliant and visionary political icon.
Unlike Mayor Richard M. Daley, I found Mugabe to be a rational and open-minded gentleman. I would gladly trade Daley for the leadership of Mugabe, sinkholes and all.
Shortshanks is well on his way to making Chicago a third world dump.
Obama will fix all the potholes by June. NOW NEEL AND NEVER CRITICIZE
Come pay the 10th ward a visit. I'll put money on it they we are still the worst in the city.
The Mayor is correct this is a world class city ranking among the top as seen here. I have never felt prouder then I am at this moment. We as Chicagioans should celebrate this moment as a shining example of just how great the Mayor has made our city, and for all of the world to see.

How unfair of them to compare the Peoples Republic of Robert Mugabe, to our glorious Peoples Republic of Richard Daley. This truly is like comparing Apples to Oranges. There are no similarities that can be drawn from the survey, that could link the ineffiency of the "One Party Marxist-Leninist rule" of the one, to the "One Party Marxist-Democratist rule" of the other. Oddly enough, though. Mr. Mugabe has claimed that there's an awful lot of missing asphalt from his Department of Trails and Foot-paths. He is blaming white europeans for this, as part of the alleged conspiracy to ruin the country. He has appointed a long time political ally to sort out the problem and lease trucks from Chicago to move the material necessary to make it look like things are being fixed.
Chicago is turning into Detroit much faster than most people can imagine. This city is ripe with corruption and decay.
I have seen 14 inch deep potholes this year.
I drove to Hegewisch this weekend for a wake. Torrence Avenue is bad, so I decided to return to the city on Avenue O, which was worse.
What is Alderman Polk doing about it, and were is the pothole czar, Tom Byrne (aka "backstabber")?

This city though has to payoff so many of the daley cronies before any pothole is filled,and the 50 cowards take their share also,that is why they are the "silent minority" as usual all 50 spineless hacks!

This pothole was fixed by the afternoon on Sunday no less. Richie, you read this blog don't you?
what kind of taxes do the citizens of these other great cities pay? probably the same as chicago
Someone asked me once why don't they fill potholes with concrete?
The asnwer I got from an alderman was, "Different union, it takes Cement Masons to pour concrete when you use asphalt, it is done by Laborers."
I spent Sunday outside of the city. I drove up to visit a friend in Wauconda. Guess what, when I left Chicago I didn't see another pothole all day. Until I got back in the city. And today I am back in the land of 10.25% sales tax, deep potholes and the most corrupt mayor in America. Ughhh!

there is a pothole in the parking lot enerance/exit of Area 2 that is big enough to raise a family of 4 in. It is filling up with traffic cones, wooden traffic barricades, garbage, 40 oz'ers, fried chicken bones, etc. Its been there since December, 08. Be careful not to drive into it if you are turning into Area 2 POLICE Lot. It's a definate axle breaker, oooh yeah, uh-huh, dats wat I talkin about...
i think some areas of chicago are more like mogadishu...without the high taxes
the bomb craters of Iraq are smaller than Shitcago potholes.....

Only in Chicago would the people that do the work come before what needs to be done. Interesting. Wouldn't last too long in private industry.
Instead of fixing potholes, short-shanks is now straticically placing orange traffic cones to mark the gaping craters. (600 block of W. Grand Ave. by the RR tracks) He probably has a deal with the manufacturer of that firm too. God help us all, for we are doomed in this city.

The Olympics are coming here, it is a done deal,,,between the longstanding corporate sponsorships of major American companies, the TV revenues that only American games generate and the fact that the President of the US is from Chicago
The "selection process" is just a shell game to give it a modicum of being legitimate.
