Memo describes retaliation plan

A Chicago FBI agent who has complained to the media and Congress that the bureau bungled terrorism investigations had been targeted for firing by supervisors who vowed to "take him out," according to a memo written by a former high-ranking official in the FBI's disciplinary office.
The FBI opened an internal investigation against Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. in 2003 just days after his appearance at a news conference and on a national television news program, according to the memo obtained by the Tribune.
The top two agents in the FBI's disciplinary office at the time, Robert J. Jordan and J.P. "Jody" Weis, ordered an investigation into Wright for insubordination and had already made up their minds to have him fired, according to the memo.
The memo, written by John Roberts when he was third in command of the Office of Professional Responsibility, questioned how often supervisors misused the disciplinary process to silence employees critical of the FBI.
Roberts could not be reached Monday for comment, but his lawyer, Stephen Kohn, said the memo's point is clear. "The FBI uses its Office of Professional Responsibility to retaliate against whistleblowers," Kohn said.
Our ex-feeb leader is well versed in methods of political intrigue and using the disciplinary arm of his previous employer to choke off dissent and those who would point out errors by the organization.
The name of the game at any large bureaucracy is to protect the organization at all costs. It would appear that since Day One, Shortshanks brought someone who will "protect the mayor at all costs" to the game.

If you can find the FBI blog (there is one), it urges you to use one of those programs that changes/masks your IP address, so you can't be tracked when posting your comments.
It also refers to Weis and his punitive attitude when it makes this 'suggestion' to protect yourself.

Agent Wright, like many whistleblowers, may be a complicated man. However, he was also acting as a hero in trying to point out the mistakes that helped lead to the 9/11 attacks not being stopped.
In a just world Weis and his FBI boss would have been forced out and disciplined themselves. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, they protected the bureaucracy and as such the bosses loved them.

Since you brought race into this, here it goes. It was pretty clear that many of the command staff, all races, are/were promoted beyond their capabilities. There were also many who were capable, but had that extra baggage of sex beefs and other transgressions on their records.

In both cases, the FBI's OPR and the CPD's IAD played the KGB/SS role as "secret police" in attempting to silence and retaliate against whistleblowers in respective bureaucracies.

I'm not a lawyer but his speech at sentencing seems a little prejudice to me. Is this ex-cop being tried with all the other cases that "prompted the judge to declare he's tired of the growing pace of wrongdoing by cops?" I mean what the fuck. When you have attorneys and judges not allowing pertinent evidence and testimony all the fucking time which allows criminals to go free, is this something a JUDGE should be allowed to say? If it was me standing up there I'd be asking my attorney if I could appeal on the basis that this motherfucker is bias against me because I used to be a cop. Is that fair?

What about any of the cops who were doing business with drug dealers? If some good cop had known about those crimes should he have kept their mouth shut?

Agent Wright was and is an American hero who did the right thing and JFED tried to fuck him for it.
When Weis became Super the first thing I did was "google" his name. That story came up. I immediately said "FOOK".

The FBI used pretext to fire Robert Wright. John Roberts retired. Weis accomplice Robert Jordan's fate is unknown. Robert Mueller is still FBI director.
The later arrests of the Muslim financiers in the U.S. would seem to vindicate Wright's dogged role in "Operation Vulgar Betrayal". The Muslims were funneling U.S. dollars to Hamas prior to 9/11.

At least one of those individuals wasn't indicted, so their name isn't public record. Maybe two. As the rules have stated, non-public figures will not have their names dragged into situations.
