Another Good Job

  • Chicago Police caught a suspected rapist early Monday on the Northwest Side after a neighbor heard a woman's screams, saw a man dragging her through an alley and called 911.

The man was yanking his pants up when Shakespeare District officers responded, police said. He ran, but they caught him within a block.

Officers made the arrest at 3:30 a.m. near Armitage and Damen. Police recovered a kitchen knife and gloves.

Looks like they might clear up a pattern with this one, too.

OFF TOPIC, but another job well done. Check out this link about what happened when a fire broke out on a boat in Montrose Harbor Monday evening.

http://thepointandshootist.com/photos/2009/06/29/chicago-fire-montrose-harbor/

The author notes that the first responder was a Chicago cop, who got a hose and climbed on the boat and started putting out the fire while waiting for the firefighters to get there. Pretty amazing.

REAL COPPERS put all the BULLSHIT, that this city the media and the liberals throw at us,aside when its time to do our job. It's what we were trained to do.I'm sure the real victims appreciate it and your fellow REAL PO'S appreciate it.

Great job by the PO who put the fire out on the boat at Montrose. The dangers faced by the Police and Fire Departments on a daily basis are numerous and many times go unnoticed by the public. Instead they (the public) tend to focus on the negatives that the press continues to heap on them. The gang banger is always portrayed as the poor victim of Police Gone Mad. I'm sick of it and am counting the days to retirement. Screw Daley, Venecko, Masters and all the Alderfucks. They should all be in prison getting tea bagged by Rufus and Juan. A disatisfied employee of Mayor Short Biggie...

1st watch officers in 014 have always been known for doing a great job backing each other up regardless of who or what time of the night/morning. Even if it means having to leave the hole. Damn good job boys.

that's why God created cops, so that firefighters could have hero's. Lets face it we do just about everything they do, with double the courage, and twice less gear.... Go Blue!

014th district first watch officers always hustle to in progress jobs. If anyone asks for assistance the whole watch shows up. A lot of good officers over there.

You guys in 014 are the best!! This should go down as the best arrest of the year. Rape in progress and you guys got the offender. In addition he is linked to several other rapes, all legit victims. It doesn't get any better than that.
