I think that Chalkie should get all the credit. Be extra careful out there lads. Daley is going to be on a rampage. His whipping boy J-fed is going to take heat, that means more cops in callback and the unemployment lines. Shit rolls down hill remember?

Chicago's Olympic bid got a monumental boost when Obama was elected president.

At a rally in Daley Plaza five months before the election, Obama drummed up enthusiasm for the bid. He said: "In 2016, I'll be wrapping up my second term as president, so I can't think of a better way than to be marching into Washington Park alongside Mayor Daley, alongside Rahm Emanuel, alongside Dick Durbin, alongside Valerie Jarrett as President of the United States, and announcing to the world, 'Let the games begin!'"

Just got word. Mayor Daley has decided that the IOC is ridiculous and has decided he will proceed in holding the Olympics here anyway.

"He has made too many promises not to hold them" said a source.

The Mayor has publicly state this is in no way in order to disrespect the IOC or the rest of the world.

"This is the way its going to be" he said.

off topic. Seems that Commander "pot" Wesly Scott has thrown in the race card saying he was discriminated by being fired for having pot. He is suing Cicero. Maybe he can petition Obama for a pardon.

What a joke this department/MSF is. I went to see about taking out a rifle just now and was told I can't since their all assigned to someone. Funny how they'll move MSF officer in front of a shit load of other POs to get rifle qualified. Then once it's all said and done, "sorry no rifle for you".

Hell if I had known this would happen I wouldn't have bothered with adjusting the shit out of my personal life For the 40hr class and damn near gave myself a grabber during the power test. Thus department is fucked. Thank got we're not getting the games

Already wondering about Huet's inconsistant ass. Giving up the lead with 2 min to go?! Yeah it was a bad turnover, but getting beat twice gloveside? Weak! No saves in the shootout either. 20 Cent had a good game today.

Gun law news

Passage of either of two bills, HR 45 (also known as Blair-Holt Firearm Licensing and Record Sale Act of 2009) and S 1317, would be a devastating blow to Second Amendment rights.

HR 45, introduced by Rep. Bobby Rush, would make it illegal to own a gun unless you are fingerprinted and can provide a driver’s license and Social Security number.

Additionally under HR 45, a person buying a gun would have to undergo both a physical and mental evaluation before making a firearm purchase. It also would require guns be secured from access by children under age 18, and would empower law enforcement officers to come into your home to check compliance.

S 1317, introduced by Sen. Frank Lautenburg, would give the attorney general the right to block gun sales to people on terror watch lists. A third bill, HR 2647, contains a companion clause to S 1317 that gives the attorney general the authority to determine who belongs on terrorist watch lists.

2:21 left and all they had to do was take care of the puck and get it deep-- the panthers did not even pull their goalie adding the extra attacker yet... poor turnover and huet gets smoked on glove hand side high... huet made some nice saves numerous times and kept them in the game.... at least we got a point.... why didn't they replay the hit put on kane at the end of the game in the offensive zone after he snapped off a shot at panther goalie-- it looked like potvin came out of retirement, you don't see checks like that anymore... where was the retaliation by his team mates after their star player was "run"... should be a good rematch 1100 hrs on sat....

Why is it that with CPD the exempts are out in the field at events directly giving orders to blueshirts?
If the w/c, Lt. and Sgts are bypassed then they are not needed.

Keating would be equal to a battaloin commander in the milatary.
The b/c would be in the rear at his HQ allowing his company commanders to run the "battle" plane. The b/c would then evaluate intel from the front and make adjustments as needed.

In CPD you have multiple exempts at large events all trying to get on the radio to be heard. They throw out orders that make little sense, often contradicting each other.

One person should be in tactical command and orders flow down through the chain. You baffoo s need to get out of the way and let the field personell do thrir job. You idiots just cause more grief and make everything more difficult.

Get a clue.

And remember, you have to do that POWER test every year and re-qualify every six months. Now go spend over $1,000 to get your own rifle.

The only reason I did it was to legally have my own rifle here in the city and I keep it in my gun safe. The hell if I will take on the liability of possibly shooting a rifle in this dense urban environment. Not with the shit training given out to members of patrol.

SWAT is the only unit that might be training properly and often enough to carry that rifle daily. Training on the rest of the CPD is only a way to satisfy state requirements, not to make an officer truly proficient.

Get sued once and your view of things will definitely change in a big way.
