Another Shooting
Again, we seem to be experiencing an upsurge of police involved shootings:
An unidentified man was shot by police Saturday night on Chicago's South Side, officials said.
At about 10:20 p.m. police responded to the 8200 block of South Marquette Avenue, said Chicago News Affairs Officer [...].
A person was shot by police at the scene [...].
A 41-year-old man was taken from the scene to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, said Fire Department spokesman Quention Curtis.
How about a few Public Service Announcements? "Stop Pointing Guns at Police."

What would possess someone to do something as stupid as to point a gun at another person who also has a gun and a fair amount of training in its use? Its like a death wish.

That assumes that 1) all of the
potential offenders are literate
CPS 'honor students', and 2) they'll
all get swine flu shots.
Let 'em get swine flu - Mother Nature's

Three men and one male minor were charged Sunday after a Far South Side street fight in which a 17-year-old female was seriously injured, police said.
Tommy McLaurin, 34, of the 200 block of West 113th Street; Jacquez Shannon, 18, of the 11500 block of South Lasalle Street; Jerry Shannon, 17, of northwest suburban Barrington; and an unidentified 16-year-old male were charged with reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, according to police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli.
