Not Very Peaceful Ending
A vehicle struck a Chicago Police officer during an incident where an officer shot a person, leaving them in “very critical” condition, late Wednesday on the Northwest Side.
Grand Central Area Gang Enforcement Team officers were conducting a narcotics surveillance about 11:15 p.m. in the 6200 block of West Wabansia Ave. after obtaining information that narcotics and weapons would be moved at that location, according to a statement from police News Affairs.
The officers observed the suspect enter a vehicle and drive away and the officers attempted to stop the vehicle near North Moody and West Wabansia avenues, according to the statement.
The officers exited their vehicle and approached the suspect, who then accelerated his vehicle toward the officers, striking one of them, the statement said.

When is the city going to ban cars? It seems to me that many are being used as lethal weapons as of late.

This city sucks, and is only getting worse.
The coppers shouldn't have put themselves in that position to begin with. Why in the hell would you take chances with your life or health for dope?

You new(er) guys better get in through your thick skulls that people LIE. And convicted felons, their associates, family, friends and cohorts lie particularly well.
Don't go believing every hype, "remorseful" arrestee or "Confidential Informant" when they tell you: "dey got gats and a buncha work dat dey finna drop off". These pillars of the community will give up their own mothers to stay out of the joint...and they won't have any problem making up lies and embellishing their contact with you to get you jammed-up.
And they sure as hell ain't gonna be taking the reigns organizing your benefit party when you step on your dick trying to impress the "bosses" to keep that spot on the illustrious Gang/Tact/Area team.

Please stay inside. You probably have not really done much on the job. Luckly we work a job where some people can stay inside and others that like Gangs/Tact and being on the street can do so. So stop bothering the street officers about what the enjoy doing. Whenever they want they can come inside with you. but then I'm sure you will bitch about that.

spoken like a true COMPANY SUCKHOLE. someday youll have some time on the job and see the wisdom in westside inside do nothings words. thats if you learn this job the way its supposed to be learned. keep leading the charge there young man and see where it gets you. open your eyes and see the light before its too late unless you know something us oldtimers dont, and i highly doubt it. times are much different now than they were when us old farts came on.

I agree brother, these young pups won't listen to any advice, they think they know everything. When I came on we kept our mouths shut and listened and observed. Those days are long gone. These new young coppers are all mouth, no brains.
