It seems that Aunt Bea is driving the bus and it's D/S DD in her path. There was a meeting Friday with some community leaders, not sure of the topic but I assume it had to do with the slaying of 025 Cmdr BL. Aunt Bea has been scrambling to tell her "people" she tried to stop DD but he wouldn't listen.
She said she "warned him not to do it" and "It's not right". She added that it makes her sick what he (J-Fed) is "doing to our people."
Is this the push to eliminate DD from consideration for the Top Spot?
When the reign of J-Fed comes to an end, there is going to be a rush to settle old scores. It seems like certain factions are setting up to do just that already.

Does it really matter? As long as Daley and his merry band of thieves is in power, no city department will ever have real leadership, cpd included. And they will be burdened with at least 60% of their employees being worthless racial quotas or clout babies. All you can do is laugh.

Racisim is alive and well for some. So what if a white boss said, "her people?" Can you imagine the outrage? The great prestigious "religious leaders" would be up in arms! To bad the religious leaders don't stick to conducting mass.
The gold stars at the top are like a bunch of knife wielding, back stabbing PSYCHOS behind the shower curtain at the Bates Motel. Very few of them have any real credentials to be where they are and so they have to fall back on political chicanery to keep their unworthy positions.
I'd say that half of them should never have gotten past the rank of Sgt. and 9 out of 10 of those shouldn't have gone beyond Lt.
I truly believe there should be a limit as to how many "merit" promotions one can receive in their career, just like ones ability to utilize military service points. If they are soooo badly needed up at the next rank, then let them pass a test and earn it, like everyone else!

City workers couldn't band together to agree on what time it is. Forget that "band together" thing. It is every man for themselves so often here.
Look at our march on city hall last year, we didn't even have the support of our fellow CPD unions, Lt's yes, Sgt's no. We should be marching on city hall EVERY MONTH!
Coppers are not even registered to vote in any numbers that might give 42 short pause. Wait till the true numbers of voter registration among police officers gets publicized. another embarrassment for police.
The fire department cannot be depended on to take the heat off us. They can't keep trotting out that video of drunk fireman dancing. We need ned CFD scandals to keep CPD off the front pages and it isn't happening.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. --New Haven has a new police chief.
Mayor John DeStefano, Jr. announced Tuesday the hiring of Frank Limon as the city's new police chief. Limon was most recently chief of the police department in River Forest, Ill., where officials say he oversaw a 28 percent reduction in crime last year.
Limon served as the chief of the Chicago Police Department's organized crime division.
Limon will be sworn into office on April 5 for a term that extends through Feb. 1, 2014.
Limon will replace New Haven Police Chief James Lewis, who retired

I bet Dan Dugan did remove Bob Lopez due to his own arrogance. This does not make for a good leader, especially in Patrol. Considering the fact that this department has gone down the tubes with morale, personal health/well being with all the new stressors, the police are afraid to take action for fear of professional and personal retaliation and we are just plain old tired of carrying the city and this department on our backs. What are we getting in return? No contract, no health insurance after 2013, and a questionable pension. We have a Superintendent that has absolutely NO clue what it is to be an effective leader, he makes rules only for others, never for himself, he allows Mike Masters to continually humiliate staff, hell MM won't even speak to us blue shirts as he passes us in the hall at 35th or in the street, he allows his select few to be goverened on his whim as Aunt Bea and the Narcotics/Assault Weapons scandal, Commander Wedster and the Airport scandal, Mike Masters and the many many gun incidents, him being on a freakin arrest report and him humiliating a 30 year plus veteran at an accountability meeting. Jfed himself went against rules and used his office for political gain when Obama ran for President, he told us from day one what he would do to us if we did ANYTHING, he has allowed IAD to re open a host of CR#'s for what purpose, can we all say Cozzi, he told us about how he would open up all positions including Exempts, then he promoted 4 overnight, no notice, no opportunity for inclusion and then he made them all Hispanic, just days after Lopez was dumped. That is so transparent. Jfed should have at least looked at the perception he was creating, but his arrogant ass did not care!Now he is back peddling because of some ministers and politicians! So we should all rally up our ministerial supporters to dictate department policy? What kind of Police Leader does things as this.
If he should have been dumped last week, then why should he be reinstated this week? This opens up an opportunity for all demoted Exempts to sue. Please sue! Also, all Exempts in Area 5 that had more time than the idiot Deputy Chief they promoted and more time than the one they appointed, please sue!
Last but not least, he dumped Lucia Martinez for not telling the truth, then as we sat at Bourbon Street last night, I learned one of his own blatantly lied and was the catalyst for all of this bullshit that our department is enduring. I am sure he will find an excuse to cover this up and justify their actions just like he did for Mike Masters, Beatrice Cuello (though the media had her on every station), Ruth Wedster, Chief Mike Mc Cotter and Commander Gross by overseeing a citizen's rights being taken and nothing has been done, nothing!!! I guess me and my partner should have been a part of your camp Jfed. Remember, we tried to hold a conversation with you when you first came here, after your first open forum. Do you remember what you told us?
Speaking of forums, why would you continue to bring Mike Masters when you know he is a sore spot for ALL police? Why would you have him in the room or for that matter, any Exempts. How can we be honest with you if that is really what you want, and you have them looking down oUr throats. We have to go to work the next day remember, and we are not covered like YOU and YOUR PEOPLE! Mike Masters is not one of us, he does not have our backs, he is detrimental to this department and he has NO purpose at a meeting you are supposedly holding for US.

I have had the experience to work with Dugan for the last !3 years and I have worked for him both as a patrolman and also as a Sgt. I recently saw him and I was totally taken back that when I approached him he would not even shake my hand. I have no idea why but I have always had a great respect for the man and yet for him to not even say hello is a total sign of disrespect. I always enjoyed working for him and always felt comfortable to say hello but I was shocked with his total lack of professionalism for a person in his position. Years ago people always had great things to say about him but recently I have heard much bashing about him and I must say I feel like bashing him. He totally has forgotten his roots and where he came from.

This is the wrong thing to do. The census determines how many congressmen we get and how much federal money we get. The more people we have in Chicago, the more federal money we get. Having a drive to register city wortkers to vote and then vote Shortshanks out would be a better idea.

The problem with this influx in commanders is that it depletes our pension. All these idiots have to do is be a commander for four years and wallah: instead of a lieutenants pension they get a commander's pension which is substantially more. SOMEONE STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!

Population numbers directly affect what city, state and Federal monies are directed to specific areas. Why do you think the Latino communities are doing such big drives, telling people 'if you don't fill it out, we don't exist'? (Yes, I saw an actual tv ad that said that.)

If not for the meager support Jackson has from the feeble Black religious community, he would have hosted his own small retirement party about a year ago. WEISel, Masters, Peterson, Cuello and EB would just love to throw JJ away, if they could only do it in such a way as there would be no body recovered, and no one would know they had done the deed. JJ has been barely hanging on by a slim thread, and if you've seen him lately, he certainly looks like it.

For those of you looking for some trivia: Since J-Fed has been our "leader" the amount of "Commanders" has more than doubled. That's right, there are now more than double the amount of clueless idiots wearing a gold star than there was three years ago. That's a fact, jack!!!! Do a little a research and you will see.
The problem with this influx in commanders is that it depletes our pension. All these idiots have to do is be a commander for four years and wallah: instead of a lieutenants pension they get a commander's pension which is substantially more. SOMEONE STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!!

You are the one who needs to do some research. The "double the amount of commanders" you allege is ridiculously incorrect. And exempts only need three years to get that gold star pension.

My thing is this, WHY would any IDIOT have any Exempt Commander do this. They already work 80 hours plus a fucking week, barely get any free time and never sees their kids, they can keep the wives, but at least the kids want to see their dads. Also, are the ministers required to support or come to any District things? NO Also, they will piss off more ministers by going to one church compared to the other. And what if they were an Atheist, Sanctified or a Muslim? They are restricted to walk in 99 percent of all houses of worship. They are not required to disclose their religous preferences prior to taking the job as a Commander. Now this is just way over the edge and is totally fucked up. They work all weekend and have no time to just rest! Fuck you Jfed, Mayor Daley, Dan Dugan and who ever else had anything to do with this bullshit!

Uh, you did write CAPTAIN Tom Lemmer, true? Since when is a promotion to the rank of captain not a promotion to a "merit" rank? It involves more politics and loads of "merit" baloney than the ranks of sergeant and lieutenant.
Plus, little TL is a real douche bag. Big TL was a good guy. He should have been made a captain, not the kid.
Dugan dumped him! Fact is fact! If you kept your nose out of petty bullshit everyday, maybe you would find time to be a Deputy Superintendent!
