Daley Murders English, Blames Burbs
Honestly, it's entertaining as hell watching this marble-mouth speak:
- Mayor Richard Daley and Police Supt. Jody Weis today said the city will work to make sure the beaches are safe this summer, following 22 arrests of young people who were fighting and causing other disturbances this week around North Avenue Beach.
"They text people, where people are going in congregation," Daley said. "So you make a number of arrests, a number of arrests were both city and suburban. We had a lot of suburban people arrested."
[...] Weis said that of the 22 people arrested Monday and Tuesday on the beach, 14 were suburbanites.
So they were suburbanites? Damn those suburban purveyors of mayhem and chaos! Where ever they go "in congregation" it seems, disaster follows.
We're assuming Barrington? Highland Park? Lake Forest?
Here's the thing - it's all smoke and mirrors that Shortshanks and J-Fled are blowing. It doesn't matter where they came from. The fact is they came here and caused problems and the Department is unable to react quickly enough to stop it. There's no deterrent effect in place.
Oh wait, there are the cameras installed today. That's going to be passed off as a deterrent. But as stated here and elsewhere, when was the last time a camera climbed off a pole and arrested someone? Cameras provide only a false sense of security. Without coppers to physically arrest people, cameras don't mean squat.

the cameras are there to capture evidence to be used to prosecute those citizens who may dare to defend themselves when attacked by the roaming hoards of disadvantaged 'children', said citizens to be charged with hate crimes where 'appropriate'.

It's the Barrington kids. Barrington has started exporting the trouble makers to Chicago to drive down their crime stats. The proof? The police blotter in the weekly paper was only 4 car breakins and one under-age drinker. Normally at this time of year there's additional smashed mailbox or two, and 3 or 4 "brought beer to school".
Can anyone comment on which suburbs were "represented" in those beachfront arrests? Cicero? Maywood? Inquirying minds need to know, because the reporters certainly aren't getting their answers.

I work with a lot of these little bastards and their "addresses" aren't worth a shit. They have lots of addresses, but were spawned and live in Chicago. The only reason they have suburban addresses is because they are living in Section 8 housing in Dolton, Riverdale, South Holland, etc. but you better believe their roots are in Chicago. They are, to use their own term, pirates.
Furthermore MAYOR the people who live in suburbia don't appreciate all the shit from the city who have infiltrated their nice peaceful neighborhoods with their ghetto behavior, which they bring with them. Funny how they move out of Chicago to live in a safe neighborhood and then set off to destroying it immediately.

I just returned from a long stroll through my beat of residence (Beat 1814) which includes the lakefront from North Ave. to Fullerton Pkwy.
As we prepare for the Memorial Day weekend, the Chicago Park District is now installing 40 foot poles along that stretch at intervals of about 100 yards. Four 1500 watt mercury vapor lamps , an oscillating camera and two loudspeakers are mounted atop each pole. The lights are set on a timer in which they will only operate from dusk until dawn.
While this will certainly take much of the romance out those starlit lakefront strolls with your lover, it's all the fault of those violent young thugs from "suburbia" (LOL, great "spin", J-Fled and Shortshanks. NOT!).
My neighbors, who are NOT as liberal as some may think, will NOT tolerate these assholes.
In last Sunday's Sun-Times, based on the first three months of 2010, Beat 1814 had the lowest incidence of Part I violent crimes in the entire city. Let's keep it that way.
While Beat 624 (79th/Cottage Grove) topped out all beats with 66 incidents, the three northernmost beats in 016 "CopLand" (1611, 1612 and 1621) tied my home beat for safety with only 2 violent crimes during the three month period.
Both Shortshanks and his puppet, the cowardly J-Fled, are consummate assholes unfit to lead a leashed puppy to a hamburger. Notwithstanding and albeit the fact that I have a vested interest, I believe that the lights are a good idea. Now, as they say across the city, let's "step up patrols" on Beat 1814.

Right, bright lights, the solution to protecting the lakefront is to make it inhospitable to everyone else.
No more nice walks along a moonlit lake shore, might as well stroll down the Kennedy with those sodium vapor lights.
Well, that kills the lakefront. and I live here and pay high taxes for what reason exactly?

New Overtime Opportunity
The Lodge was notified today that a new lakefront overtime initiative is scheduled to begin Sunday, June 6, 2010 and will continue through the end of August 2010.
This initiative is open to Police Officers pay grade 9161. Officers may sign up on the CPD Intranet site in the same manner as other overtime initiatives. Officers will have until Friday, June 4, 2010 to sign up for dates in June. Officers will have until Tuesday, June 15, 2010 to sign up for dates in July.
There will be day and afternoon shifts available. Anticipated start times are 1000 hrs and 1400 hours. Officers will be in full uniform and assigned to foot posts.
A FAX message with the complete details of the initiative is expected to be released some time this weekend. It was not available when this update was posted.

Another brilliant move, they used to have these people in blue shirts who carried guns called 018th District Police Officers and those officers would keep the peace at the lakefront. They were augmented by the Summer Mobile force because the command staff back then, as unenlightened as they were, somehow recognized the need to patrol the lakefront in summer to keep the knuckleheads at bay and to intimidate the jagoffs and confiscate beer etc.
It worked too. It worked so well that a new generation of enlightened bosses saw no need for them and cancelled all of it. Which brings us to present day with this phony baloney excuse of "suburbanites" causing mayhem on the lakefront.
So now the City can pay time and a half to patrol the lakefront instead of straight time and generate all sorts of bad press that might, just might contribute to the downfall of the daley crime syndicate.

at first it seemed that Shortshanks could legitimately be described as completely incompetent, totally ineffective, and either criminally responsible for massive theft or corruption in his administration....but, he keeps getting re-elected, which is a testament to 1) there's no viable candidate who either wants or can legitimately compete for the job (which is another sad statement as to the state of affairs, when good, honest people, will not participate in politics); 2) the voting electorate are just sheep, just voting like they are told; 3) the city is too fractured racially, meaning no candidate with otherwise honest values can win without catering to the special interests; 4) shortshanks' continue in office is a tribute to those a) who benefit from special financial interests/contracts, and b) an even more supreme tribute to the power of the Chicago political machine (witness Barry Hussein and all of the Chicago thugs in D.C.)....how's that going for you, America?

I think the mayor should offer to stick a cell phone up a reporter's butt and then text a message to see how that thing feels vibrating way up there. Then he will see how effective an anti-suburbanite ordinance is all right.
Of course then you might have certain north side aldermen volunteering to be the recipient but only if it vibrates strongly enough.
Looked like all of 018 was at North Ave Beach tonight. I counted 6 cars, 2 wagons, and at least 4 white shirts.
This what a citizen troller thinks. 1) I do not believe Richard Daley-not one damn word out of his pie hole. 2) I do not believe JFLED. 3) I do not believe there were 22 arrests. 4) I do not believe 17 of them or any number they say were suburbanites. In summary, I do not believe what they say and smart people should question the truth in every comment they make. Just a little something to think about. Numbers from liars are numbers that lie.
The reason that the 14 suburbanites were arrested is that they were too stupid to run from the police. And the police grabbed them because the police knew they would not fight or resist, thus there would be no TRR or CR#.
