Support Jimmy. He is a good man.
insurance???
Question why is it we pick and choose who gets a benefit??? If its for lost pay or sickness. Kind of like that flower fund.
WHY NOT TREAT ALL PO'S THE SAME?
Good luck to Jimmie on his fight against this terrible disease. I will pray for a quick recovery. Jimmie should be only responsible for up to $1500.00 each year if he has a PPO. I'm not sure how much on an HMO.
God bless you Jimmy. I pray for you.
up yours insurance. This guy did not get into a fight in a bar. FU. and help a brother in blue. You are a dirt bag.
God speed Officer at you time of need in many ways
I had cancer in 96. Yeah the insurance picked up all but the co-pay, but they don't pay for the parking fees at the hospital, the babysitter fees, and other misc. expenses. Help the officer out, even if it's just sending a card with $5.00. Everything helps.

How about we help ALL the brothers equally. You guys are ALWAYS crying about a two tired system, yet you do the same. Do as I say not as I do???

God speed to ALL THE SICK OFFICERS. Not just some.
Why do we not treat all P.O.'s the same? Jimmy's friends decided to put this together for him. Many P.O.'s who are in financial difficulty due to medical bills are to proud or embarrased to ask, but this is for a good cause. He is sick. As for other benefits, many times these benefits are put together because of suspension whether it was the fault of the officer, or an unfair decision by the department. I dont know this guy, but I would have no problem dishing out $20.00 for him to help pay his medical bills. It is times like these, when we need to stick together and help each other out and not make stupid comments. If you want to be ignorant, go do it on a different post, this is for Jimmy. The poor guy is going through alot and to post some b.s. comment is very disrepectful. Maybe some people don't have benefits for them becuase they are a**holes who dont care about anyone but themselves. No one picks and chooses , it comes down to who steps up and helps out. He has REAL friends, that care about him!
God Bless you Jimmy, we are going to help you out.

I agree 110% with you. I work in 025 on 1st watch and can say that Jimmy is a good man and besides the $1500 he is only liable for, there are tons of other related costs that happen when you get really sick.
Let's not tear each other down, but pull each other up.
If the person who made the comment, "insurance ???" and the person who asked about "who picks and chooses who gets a benefit" are my fellow police officers, shame on you. You're a disgrace and you're part of the reason why the department is going to shit so quickly. This is a young guy who has been fighting a tough fight against cancer. Just because someone has insurance doesn't mean all the bills get covered. He's sick and he needs our help. He's one of our own. If you don't want to buy a ticket, don't. No one is forcing a ticket down your throat. We don't need your insensitive and ignorant comments.
