It's NOT About the Money

  • The Chicago Department of Transportation says the City's 188 red light cameras have made intersections safer.

But as FOX Chicago News reports exclusively, a new UIC report finds that accidents at red-light intersections have actually gone up five percent.

Using data provided by the Illinois Department of Transportation, Assistant Professor Rajiv Shah compared the total number of accidents the year before the cameras were installed and the year after. What surprised him most is that car accidents have declined city-wide, except at red-light intersections.

How can that be? The mayor, city council and CDOT wouldn't lie to us, would they?

Oh yeah, right. They would. Sorry. We forgot we were in Chicago for a second. Who was it that said this was just a money grab by Shortshanks? If we recall correctly, that would have been just about everybody.

Accidents going up; where we have the cameras, We will need more cameras at these locations. I'll order 4 way red light cameras at intersections and 4 blue light cameras to see why the red light cameras are not stopping the traffic crashes.

Ever notice the cameras are always located in confusing intersections? Ever notice that the timing of the yellow lights are a wee bit shorter? Ever noticed that that when you want to confront your accuser....you can't?

So, please Mr. Daley....that these camera lights are for safety and not for revenue.

Dipshit, UIC did not do the morale survey. The Department did it. All UIC did was count the numbers and summarize the data, and give them back to the Lt. who put it together. And at no cost. Of course she was then dumped by j-fed because she had the gall to demand that j-fed keep his word and release the results.

Learn where to place the blame.

When asked to confront my accuser, I was told I would have to do so in a court of law...NOT at an "administrative hearing." In order to be granted a trial in front of at least a judge, I would have to pay a non-refundable "court fee" totaling near $100 (in 2005).

Where in the US Constitution does it say I have a right to a speedy administrative hearing? By a paid city shill who's job it is to convict everyone regardless of evidence presented?

In this evenings rat times there is an article stating that the alderassholes still want to boycott Arizona businesses even though the red light cameras in Chicago come from an Arizona company.

These thieving pieces of shit, who will steal anything not nailed down, have their feathers ruffled because they think the Arizona law is about racial profiling.

If they think the law is so bad why don't they invite all of Arizona's illegals to Chicago and give them free everything.

Maybe these goofs should worry about getting their own house in order before sounding so high and mighty. These morons make me sick.
