That Time of Year
Time for some hockey!
- A steady throng of thousands and thousands of Blackhawks fans continually streamed through the United Center on the first day of training camp to cheer the Stanley Cup champions Saturday as they hit the ice for the first time since bringing home the title.
They also got their first glimpse at the newcomers on a roster that was stripped of its depth with the departures of 10 players during the offseason. It's those new additions — the likes of Marty Turco, Viktor Stalberg, John Scott, Fernando Pisani and Ryan Potulny —who may be the difference for the Hawks in their efforts to repeat their first NHL championship since 1961.

according to wirtz inc... the hawks lost money last year--- who is their accountant, bernie medoff--- turco was a great acquisition for the hawks--- a bargain and the guy is the best puck handling goalie in the league--- turco passed up a lot of offers for more cash from other teams because he knows a good thing when he sees it--- the hawks will be good on both sides of the puck and will be a team that nobody wants to play--- the hawks will do about 110 points and be the tops in the western conference before the playoffs start......
The Hawks have shot their wad. They'll be just like most Chicago teams and flounder the season after a championsip.
Hockey, hockey - I love hockey!!!!!

One pump chumps. One and done. The Chicago tradition continues.
Toughest tropy in sports.
Almost impossible to defend a championship.
