Another Rumor

Nothing on the FOP site as of last night that we found:
  • HEY SCC:
There is a meeting this wednesday at the FOP HALL for all stripped po's citywide.
Many have complained about being stripped for long periods of time and now the union will have a lawyer there so all of our ideas together can be heard and we can as a collective group lay ground work for a class action.
Can u help in getting the word out please...
Meeting at 1000 hrs on wed 10 nov 2010
As someone pointed out, a certain commander was returned to her spot with hours of her case being dropped, so why aren't the POW's in blue granted the same courtesy?

Anyone heard about this meeting?

Because it's al part of the "fuck the police" down to the 5000 mark, no matter what campaign.

These fucksticks, Emanuel included, intend to get sworn police down to 5000 in Chicago in any way they can, and keeping blue shirts off the street at callback is part of their "prove up".

Watch. As I stated several times here before, sworn police will only be used to respond to in progress crimes in the very near future. All other crimes and administrative tasks will be performed by civilians or fake rent-a-cops hired by the "machine" to do the lesser work. It's win win for the shithead politicians. They get to hire any shitbag gangster they want to act like police without spending even half of what it costs to train an actual cop. They will be bringing back "special police" which will stand there and act like cops, but with limited authority.

Watch for this scam to be "outsourced" to some newly contrived "security" business run by one of the machine buddies.

It's the new way to control who's the police and who aint, thereby getting around the contract and weakening the union.

Mark those words.

If they could they would privatize the police, so some donating supporter could have the contract and political patronage could be doled out, away from the view of the federal hiring monitor. For profit firms enforcing the laws, which is what is being done through the revenue department's use of those parking enforcement companies, is not supposed to happen in a free and democratic society. Law enforcement takes an oath to enforce the laws impartially. There is not supposed to be any profit motive in enforcing the laws. I do not believe people have thought this situation through very well.

I have a question. If Lewis was dumped for no apparent reason, and at least two south side DC's, and one northside DC is sitting on the chopping block for performance/political issues, why is Trahanas, with her domestic issues and poor performance, still an exempt?
Could it be because those westside politicians and revereneds got her back no matter what? Did they squeeze the last bit of testosterone out of Jody and company?
just asking.

There shouldn't be different rules. We all do the same thing or even the regular patrol officers take greater risks when doing a traffic stop and responding to a domestic. The rules should apply to all ranks and not just the ones been hunted. 020 district for example the bosses do whatever and once they target someone as not liked, they keep at it like a witch hunt. For some reason the rules do not apply to them.

OT: Prospect Heights just laid off 6 Police Officers. That means their Police Department is now down to 15 Officers and also jeopardizing the safety of those current Officers on the street.
Some of us (CPD) aren't happy of what we got (i.e. salary, benefits, forlough days, etc.) and always asking for more. But then, we never think about other Police Department across the nation who are going to a serious budget cuts. I thank God I still have a job and able to provide needs for my family.

I don't know what's going to come from this meeting but this problem should have been addressed long ago. I have a few years behind me (22)and often wondered how the police department was able to legally get away with time after time. I'm hoping that some legal recourse is being considered as this longstanding behavior needs to come to an end. It should ceratinly start with the union and they should not rest until all legal courses of action are exhausted. Remember, it could be you tomorow and it only takes a few words from a complainant.

A police officer who loses his police powers still receives his full pay and benefits but is unable to carry a weapon or arrest anyone.

This protects both the city and the officer from being liable for any actions that the officer might take while the investigation is taking place. Failure to do this only allows lawyers, like Flint, to proclaim that the city does not care about the citizens.

It might not look fair but it is for the protection of everyone.

Take it from one who knows: The city's position is they give you the star and can take it away at their discretion. The real problem started under Starks who would strip officers without any investigation being completed. Weis and Brust have pushed this
envelope well past any shred of reasonableness. At least conduct some investigation before you strip. Have reasonable suspicion that something transpired. Officers are harmed by being stripped. Can't go to court, aren't elibible for educational/training. opportunities . . . Most side jobs unavailable since you're not the police. You can't even drive a department vehicle. I'd strip Brust, what a clueless fuck.

In pc hearings we relate the facts as contained in our reports as they occurred. As real police know judges throw some things out simply due to the small weight etc..We have no choice but to arrest even in small cases. If we didnt guys like you would charge us !
WHat I was referring to was the lack of actual investigation done by the investigators. They dont follow thru with complete invetigations yet little things could bring the element of doubt yet causing the case to be not sustained.

That is just one of many things. In addition to the summary that is done has so many errors that the investigators look real bad on the stand at the police board or civil deps.

But that will happen when they are told to stick it to someone and do just that instead of doing a real investigation.

Now get back to your desk and wait for your next "screw a cop" marching orders from a boss you ASSHAT!

Still in concurrence with the original poster.

Whether we're bitter or not has nothing to do with the massive criminal conspiracy undertaken by usual suspects at City Hall and their apt and able confederates in the media and blissfully asleep and unaware sheep like yourself.

Your head is in the sand and you wonder why the world is lined up to kick pockets in your ass.

We and others are and very much prefer to be wide the fuck awake.

Idiot.

We may be tilting at windmills but we and others will continue to bear witness and shout from the rooftops about the cancer of multigenerational kleptocracy infecting municipal governance.

We'll say it again.

CPD is being reduced with maximum prejudice with NO CONSIDERATION WHATSOEVER to the hard working captive and hunted tax payers.

Tax payers are in the minority here. They only exist to support the "Catered To Constituency."

Anyone who works like a dog, one third to one half of their lives and stays here to support a system set up to provide aid and comfort to chronic non-contributors is a fool.

You can go back to posing your my pretty pony "action" figures.

And since you brought up "no contract no contact..." Please. By all means enjoy the soon coming rev'run and alderfool cocked hat security contractors since there won't be enough Police left to pry the jaws of a weremutt from your tender hindparts.
