Media Whores
We take the media to task, often, for their willingness to prostitute the ideals of a free press to the service of political ends. One might wonder, "Where did journalism go wrong?" Evidently, right at the beginning:
- Prosecutors on Tuesday unveiled documents that suggested students and staff with Northwestern University's Medill Innocence Project arranged a visit from a female student as a "treat" for a prisoner, in addition to making unspecified promises, before he recanted his testimony in a 1993 murder and armed robbery case.
[...] The memos include suggestions that Francisco Vicente, who testified against Serrano but later recanted to the students, was upset that a private detective who works with Protess failed to come through with unspecified "considerations." - Protess said he was unaware of the e-mail describing the female former student as a "treat."
Well yeah, you probably want to go into full denial mode after that one. Offering up a female student to a prisoner as a bit of a "treat" to alleviate a hetero sex-less existence in prison in order to elicit testimony - that doesn't sound as good as "the state framed this completely innocent man and aspiring doctor."

Remind me not to send my daughters to Northwestern.
I'm waiting to see a picture from his 8th grade graduation.
How many unsuspecting parents offered up their daughters as "treats" to the good professor?
Ask his wife, she knows!
Politicians, educators and the media just don't get the fact that laws and rules of society apply to THEM too!
It is time for Patrick Fitzgerald and Anita Alvarez to indict these individuals who allow perjury to be utilized to get criminals out of jail and then to receive "Ghetto Justice" payouts.
One such indictment would slow down the multitude of lawsuits filed against police officers who are trying to protect the people of the inner city.
Protess often shows incredulity. After getting the "real" homicide offender to confess to The Northwestern UniversitY Center for Wrongful Convictions (now they changed the name?), the confessee recanted his confession in court (of course), stating the private detective coerced him. Protess' response ? "Nonsense, absurd" Well I guess when the bad guy confesses to the Chicago Police he must have been beaten with a phonebook, but when the bad guy confesses to Northwestern University Center for Wrongful COnvictions the confession was legit. Maybe divine inspiration will show one the difference between the two. Arrogant prick he is. ANd ya, its a true story, every word of it.
It's nice to see a Liberal squirming in the media lime light for once.
They do as they please and subvert everything that is decent to get what they want. Leftist assholes.
News Media=WHORES!
Does anyone remember a few years back when a career Assistant US Attorney got a serious ass-whipping because he arranged a conjugal visit for a key witness?
There was a huge blow-up about it. Wonder if the press will see this as being as bad . . . naw, this wasn't about convicting somebody, a nasty messy business. This was about exhonerating someone, which makes them feel all good inside.
So, never mind.
Convict em and put em in general population. "..no, wait, I tried to help you people, ow,ahh, argghh, help..."
hey, SCC check this article out, another shithead out on bond for UUW was out on bond and is currently being charged with the triple homicide.
http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2010/12/park-forest-man-charged-in-morgan-park-triple-slaying.html
"In June, Pittman was shot in the hip by Park Forest police after he refused to drop a gun at the Park Forest Aqua Center, police said. He was later indicted on felony weapons charges and was free on bail in that case at the time of the triple slaying."
It is time for the prosecuting agencies to go after the lawyers that encourage individuals to perjure themselves in search of get-out-of-jail cards and the paydays that follow.
Please indict some of these lawyers that are behind this perjury and lawsuits.
I am going to ring his doorbell next Halloween!
