Crime Still Down
- Police took an alleged gunman into custody Wednesday night after they said he fired shots at officers in the West Pullman neighborhood on the South Side.
No one was wounded during the shooting about 9 p.m. in the 12000 block of South State Street, said Police News Affairs [...].
There was no immediate information available about the circumstances behind the shooting, or whether the police fired back at the suspect...
This is something like the fifth attack against police so far this year so we're averaging an incident every other day or so. But hey, everything is just fine.

Hahahahahaha, Doc Walls thinks JPWeis should 'stay on' in some capacity after his tenure here, 'like in Homeland Security'.
Walls says we don't have an evacuation plan in place for emergencies and we need a Homeland Security specialist. Um, well, didn't we PAY JPWeis over THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR for the past THREE years because of his Homeland Security expertise and the promise he would handle and address Emergency Services?
Just WHAT the hell was this poseur of a self-described Homeland Security Specialist DOING for the past three years, besides self-aggrandizing?
Shouldn't he have already formulated and implemented plans like this SOMETIME in the past thirty-four months???? Wasn't that part of the JOB???

Partly, because the electorate "tolerates" this pay scale for "no" work.
Crime in Shitcago, and in our Country is still at an Astronomical Level, even if it is down a little. Watching Major City mainstream News proves we are living in a Banana-Republic inhabited by Savages running loose by the thousands. Only a Fool would fail to observe this. Crime down, yeah right. That's like saying the level of sand at the local beach is down because some sand got into the pocket of your swim trunks when you left the beach. what a joke. Politicians=useless bullshitters. Can't fix any problems. Just create new ones and move on.
Chalkie will be back in full swing in a few months, after his winter part-time is over.
It would probably be best to lay back in any gang-related shooting incidents in progress this summer, as ambushes to Coppers are part of their diabolical specialty. Stay back until there are at least 20 Cops on the scene with rifles and shotguns, canines; Supervisors, etc. Then, even if there are just 3 or 4 bangers involved, it will increase our safety. don't make a move otherwise, stay on the perimeter until the full Cavalry arrives. Don't get killed for the assholes who don't give one fuck about you. Let em off each other, it's better Urban renewal anyway for all decent folks in the City anyway. Things will not change if you keep doing the same thing over and over, summer after summer. More of us will just die needlessly, for our incompetent political asshole leaders outside and inside the dept; City, County, Suburbs, and State. They get rich while we get broke, bloody, burnt-out, and dead.
