No Cable?

A particularly nasty vicious rumor has sprung up that all cable hookups to Department facilities will be cut off an hour before game time Sunday. No word on restoring the service.

On a side note, our brothers at the CFD have agreed to host officers during game time with a very nice spread of sandwiches, drinks and snacks. A number of area hospitals have also agreed to have televisions available in the ER's, cafeterias, waiting areas and maybe even a nurses' lounge or two.

The cable TV's in the gym at HQ don't work anymore. One day they just went out. Poof! Just like that. Now those TV's will just hang there for all of eternity. Or until the building falls down faster than Peter Griffin on Family Guy.

Please get rid of these strokes already.

I want either Chico or Rahm to tell us what their intentions are with the department before the election. I am one of many voters who is on the fence right now. I want it on record so that we can always remind them before the next election.

Getting rid of Jody and Masters is a good start. I want to see a hiring plan and a prmoise to negotiate a fair contract.

Don't forget the Best Buys and other stores, etc. scattered about the city.

Bottom line, any copper worth his/her salt will have no trouble watching the game.

Yeah, ok! Here's a pointer.... take the tinfoil out from inside of your hat, and wrap it around the TV antenna, that should get you the game's signal!

Is there anything else this "experiment" can do to erode morale? Please leave the city limits immediately and don't collect your $200 bucks.

Comcast has gone to a totally digital signal requiring a box for each TV. Until the dept gets a box for the TV's they will not work.
At the exempt meeting wednesday, Jody chewed out the bosses and alluded to the TV's becoming blank. He implied that it was him who did it, and that it was because he was upset that there was not enough confidence in him from the upper brass. Everyone there looked at him like he was insane, and just shook their heads.

Fuck it. I'll just park in front of the ghetto barber shop on the beat. They got at least 2 big screen HD tv I can see through the window. Tune in to the radio. Viola!

You're going to park in front of a ghetto barber shop and watch what? Yeah, I'd like to see you cheer on the Packers from that vantage point! Methinks the programming you seek is not "The Jeffersons" re-runs they're sure to be watching in most ghetto barber shops throughout Chicago. Good thing I'm RDO otherwise you'd need to fight me off to get my spot in front of my favorite ghetto barber shop where I watch re-runs of "American Sportsman", or maybe "Highway Patrol"! Go Packers!!!
