But, whenever there is a terrorist act committed against Americans by a muslim Obama always says, "lets not rush to judgement and wait for the facts to come in." Obama had no facts and rushed to judgement on the poor copper in that incident. What a terrible leader and hypocrite!
The real story is that they are all going to give up their handguns in a show of solidarity with Daley before he leaves office.

How long does it take for an alderman to steal or be involved in criminal activity, how much money does he/she get to pocket before the FEDS look into it?

Operation Breadbasket had a federal probe of some missing funds quite a few years ago, I believe the missing dollars were about $6,000,000. The fed backed off on the probe and I'm sure it was because good old Jesse Sr. was involved. Can't have a minority man of God in prison.

Feb. 19 (before the aldermanic election) the 10th ward BOSS was observed stealing the lawn sign of a competetor for alderman. Witness was the wife of da' police. Allegedly, police would NOT WRITE A REPORT.
The drug thing is bullshit but I hear that not only did he try to steal an officers lawn sign and got caught but I heard from a bunch of folks that he paid 50 bucks a person for votes, put lawn signs in old folks lawns without asking and then was guilty of voter fraud by having his army of bafoons go to the polling places and pretend to be several elderly voters that they knew weren't going to show to vote and voted for him.
"You heard it here first". Joking or not. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard.
Those of us in the middle of Chicago, near a major park, can only hope for good news if the alleged Aldercreature is someone who has been claiming to have done things for his ward he never did and bombarded his ward with printed material - even though we had never heard from him in the past . . .
OH, but wait, that could describe almost any alderman in Chicago!
Each ward is poised for potential celebration when a name is released!
OK, Groucho, just turn the cards over and give him his 50 bucks so we can learn his true identity!

We shoud put forth our own poll on who WE think should lead us. Maybe put out some suggestions and those that have the most "nods" can be on a list that we then vote on. Just a thought. That and a vote on getting rid of atleast 25 alderman saving the city millions!

Not only is the drug thing about 10th Ward Alderman non sense , so is the lawn sign story.I'm not saying that somebody who supports him didn't take it upon themselves to rip up a lawn sign I'm just saying he would never do something so stupid himself or direct anybody else to. I would also like to add that he is pro police and the things being said about him on this blog are completely made up. If PO'S wife is a witness than she is either mistaken about the identity of the person she saw or it is the wife of a PO who has a personal axe to grind with the Alderman. He is a good guy and without him the south end of the ward would be screwed. No need for him to resort to such idiotic behavior when there was no real chance of him losing the election. He won easily and there was never any real doubt. Sorry to the few that thought there might be something in it for them by going with someone else . Better luck next time.

I agree with 07:19 that it was pretty unlikely Pope loses this election, but I disagree when he suggests that there wasn't real concern about it.
The demographics of the 10th have changed a great deal in a short period of time and his opponent (Martinez) fitting the demographically-desirable bill, there was genuine concern about a power shift.
Don't know if the sign or voter fraud stories are true or not, but I do know that it's ridiculous to suggest that there wasn't credible concern in the Pope camp about him losing.
He won the south end of the ward when his heavily religious opponent wanted to fight crime with the power of prayer. That turned a lot of people off.
The arrestt did. Happen. Confirmed by p.o. on scene. He just got. A. Job with. The. G.
pope now wearing a nagra b careful fellas too many witnesses observerved the arrest and latin kings talking about being careful what they say n do at the green olive headquarters for them and the alderman stay tuned for more news and arrestof others
41% of voters didn't vote for poop so I wouldn't consider that winning by a landslide.
