Chicago Tonight Insanity

We don't know if there's a link up yet, but Chicago Tonight had some panel of people on, including Aldercreature Beale, who speculated as to who might make a good next superintendent for Chicago. Their suggestions?
  • Jimmy Jackson
  • Ernie Brown
  • Henny Penny Trahanas
Jimmy Jackson is the current First Deputy - or what used to be the First Deputy spot. An amiable guy, harmless, well liked.

Ernie Brown is a disaster. Serial harasser, subject of numerous lawsuits, couldn't even land a job in Buckeye, Arizona when they did a cursory background check on his resume, demoted by J-Fled then double re-promoted without explanation months later.

And Henny Penny? Well, let's just say if you ever had a CB photo attached to an arrest report for telephone harassment, your ex got a 5-figure payoff from the city and you took a 30 day hit for a sustained CR investigation, then you probably shouldn't be the superintendent of anything except maybe a CHA building.

Tio Hardiman of "Cease Fire" was on the panel tonight as though he were an important figure or something.

Tomorrow, with any luck, it's back to the want ads.

So starting tomorrow tickets, gun recoveries, and arrests should be through the roof. Right?

I thought the same thing when I saw that travesty of a 'panel'. A mayoral wannabe who got, what, one percent of the vote? That Cease Fire idiot, who is only important in his own mind. And an alderman who's clearly lobbying for a better spot by pandering (note to self: always pander to the INCOMING boss, not the OUTGOING UNDER A BLACK CLOUD boss).

What the hell was that Weis lovefest?

I was waiting for them to start singing 'for he's a jolly good fellow'.

A. The've torn a lot of those down.

B. If there were a building to superintend, she'd show up without the keys.

Uh...no.

New scandal for Penny brewing. Seems police made an arrest of a burglar last year on the 25xx block of Grenshaw. Recovered, was one unregistered handgun. The weapon was inventoried with a hold placed on it. Penny, several weeks later, released the weapon from ERPS. Now there is no evidence to support the charges against the defendant and the CCSAO is pissed and thirsty for blood.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

SWEET JAYZUS THESE PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS!

Beale is the mouthpiece for the runnin' dog rev'runs fronting for the big street gang drug cartels who are nervous that Rahm might be making a move to destroy their corrupt influence and interference in the operation of the Department.

It looks like they won't "run" the Department anymore.

It also looks like they won't have highly placed moles to tip them off on who got snagged on a wire like the former CAPS director Vance Henry.

Please DOJ get a hold of these oily muthafucks and march 'em to the scaffolds for what they've done to this city.

Jimmy J. is a gent and he is the Police but sorry to say not Superintendent material from what we see.

DTEB? Please...

Henny Penny? Her feverish ass should be in the janitor's supply closet policing the urinal cakes for minimum wage...

Watched it. Am still disgusted.

It was a panel of 4 that included:

(1) former mayoral candidate and African-American community activist Patricia Van Pelt-Watkins, an expert on nothing.

(2) Director Tio Hardiman of Ceasefire Illinois. A real shamster!

(3) the Baby Huey Alderman Jason Ervin of the 28th Ward and son of Reverend/former District Commander of 011, Claudell Ervin.

(4) and Anthony A. Beale, Alderman of the 9th Ward and the presiding Chairman of the Committee on Police and Fire.

It was a sickening J-FLED lovefest, but the standout moment goes to Alderman Jason Ervin, when he recommended DTEB, Jackson and Trahanas as qualified candidates for superintendent. I almost involuntarily wretched on the remote!

Just ticked that she did not make enough time for each of them to answer the question about who should be the next supt. Especially after she specifically pointed out Shields and Brown.

Although it was quite obvious that none of the pathetic panel was going to be honest anyway. So I guess it really didn't matter, the show suxed.

I wouldn't be so sure. If the owner had a court order for its release, Penny was bound to honor it. Usually a Cmdr. will have their desk sgt. make calls/inquiries
concerning a weapon to be released, to ensure that there isn't anything that will blow up about the gun being released at a later time before the exempt signs off on the form 54. It could be the ASA's office that may have dropped the ball on this weapon in question. I'd 'wait & see' before labeling her as having a scandal brewing about this, for now.

Hardiman is just a corner boy, a local. Cease Fire is run by one Gary Slutkin. He's growing himself a dandy NGO from taxpayer money and "donations" from antis. There are at least 25 people on the staff already.

http://www.ceasefirechicago.
org/staff_directory.shtml

This is really just a sideline -- his main career interests lie in Africa.

You'll note the University of Illinois symbol at the bottom of these pages. Used with permission, I assume?

I worked for and with Jimmy Jackson in 004 when the Police were the Police. The one thing I will say about JJ is that he was on the street with us and treated every one fair. I am not a friend of JJ or have I had any regular contact with him as he climbed through the ranks of the CPD.

I do see JJ on the street for time to time or in the Area. He always has time to stop and say hello. He has dedicated may years to the CPD as most of us have. He also has never forgotten where he came from.

Jimmy Jackson knows how to be the Police and knows what is needed for the Police to do the job.

I don't know too many of the others that are being considered for the position and will reserve any comment of their abilities.

IMHO JJ should be one of the top contenders for the position of Superintendent of the Chicago Police Dept.

Lets not forget about Gene Williams he would be another fine choice!

News flash,

If a person has a court order for a weapon to be returned there is no form 54 or Commanders signature needed. Just go to ERPS, present the court order, wait for the slow dog ass behind the counter to waddle up there and retrieve it. sign the release and it is in your hand. That simple.

--3/02/2011 08:36:00 AM

Everything is a "public health issue" today so that militant doctors like Gary Slutkin here can dictate "public policy."

Hardiman is just a mouthpiece; Slutkin is the one who runs Cease Fire -- when he's not busy in Africa, where most of his concerns seem to lie. "Re-making the world," that's him.

http://www.ceasefirechicago.org
/exec.shtml

Then "violence" becomes a "workplace issue" (even the Sahara Desert is someone's "workplace") so that still more meddlesome, dangerous NGOs, non-governmental organizations, can come running with their agendas...
