Dumb Reporters

In the outpouring of jubilation following the departure of the "failed experiment," it was inevitable that bad information would get out there as the Daley-controlled media continued to paint the police in a bad light. Here's one of the more egregious examples by Paul Meincke at Channel 7:
  • Just before 4 p.m., Mayor Richard M. Daley's office confirmed Weis will leave Tuesday. Weis has not commented.

The former FBI sergeant was brought in by Daley as an outsider to lead the Chicago Police Department, which had been tarnished by officer misconduct allegations. Since his arrival, misconduct complaints dropped, the murder rate fell and the department got new cars, guns and detectives got a four-day work week.
We were unaware the FBI had ranks of sergeant. Then there's the attribution of non-existent problems and solutions that were in no way attached to anything J-Fled actually did. And the "four-day work week" shows a complete lack of understanding as to what the 4-and-2 schedule actually accomplishes, therefore feeding the public misperception of how much police officers and detectives are actually working.

But hey, remember, the media has all those layers of fact checking and it's bloggers and insiders who don't actually know what's going on.

Hillard is a nice guy but ten years is a whole decade of changes. To many changes to put someone in for three mouths. Alderman Beal is one of the rubber stamp 50 to zero Alderman. Who will suffer when they make the wrong moves will be the public getting victimized by the criminals.

This Daley gets me sick! He needs to go away!

Little does the media know, cops were not half as proactive as they were during Weis' tenure. That means less guns taken off the street and less assholes in lockup insteading of roaming the streets looking for the next 'victim.'

The murder rate is dropping because chicago's population is decreasing and its just circumstance or in Weis case; luck.

A department "tarnished" by ONE fat, drunken, jagoff. Three years of misery for THAT when it could have been handled individually.

The Fourth Estate no longer exists. No. Check that. I believe the Fourth Estate never existed as an unbiased source of information. I figured that out in my twenties.

The Media is as biased as they come with their own agenda. Anybody that doesn't see that is blind. There are many who think that if it's in the paper, someone checked it, so it must be true.

The Media big shots have been charting this Country's course for too long. It's time to wake up the masses. Don't just read the papers, investigate everything you read.

" We were unaware the FBI had ranks of sergeant."

It seems you are unaware...

From the FBI website:

"FBI Police Officers provide protective security for FBI personnel and facilities and also perform law enforcement duties at and around FBI facilities. The primary mission of FBI Police Officers is to deter or respond to a terrorist attack, or other criminal acts, at and around FBI facilities. FBI Police Officers perform duties such as identification checks, roving patrols, and unscheduled perimeter and internal patrols. Officers also monitor electronic intrusion and communications systems. FBI Police Officers are stationed in Washington, D.C. (FBI Headquarters and the Washington Field Office); Quantico, VA (FBI Academy, FBI Laboratory); New York City (New York Field Office); and Clarksburg, WV (FBI Criminal Justice Information Services Division). "

But I couldn't find the word "sergeant" listed, maybe if if had more time to search.

Crime has dropped NATIONWIDE. Except, in Chicago, the drop has not been as big as it was everywhere else.

In other words, crime is higher, per capita, in Chicago, than it is most places in this country.

But let's not worry ourselves with pesky little FACTS.

Reporters? Check facts? Prima donnas don't need to check facts.

Reporters are just lazy people afraid to do hard work.

I know enough of them who make up facts, informants, tips, just say they can fill the page.

If the citizenry really wants to find out the best scam to make money and never get caught or prosecuted because of nearly absolute protection by the Constitution, they should become reporters and "journalists".

There are only a mere handful of exceptions who truly are good reporters/journalists.

Ever see an investigative new story run about their profession and the type of people in it, or a story about weeding out "bad" journalists? I didn't think so.

For you reporter/journalist trolls on this blog who are not the exceptional, how the fuck do you live with being such shallow people?

FBI Police are a completely separate entity from the FBI!

Comparison? FBI Police are like Chicago's Aviation Police. Security guards, nothing more...except FBI Police have guns.

Chicago doesn't even have FBI Police, they use a private security firm because it's cheaper.
