Put the Helmets Away

Ok, Ok, we're kidding. No one knows what's going on and we can't help but mess with the bandwagon jumpers:
  • The Heat turned up the heat defensively, smothering the Bulls into a franchise-playoff-low 10 fourth-quarter points, and riding LeBron James' offense down the stretch of their gritty 85-75 victory.
We sense a long and unsure playoff picture for the duration.

I never understood why the bastards would get so excited because of a BULLS championship.
At the end of the day these half-wits still don't have a dime in their pockets and will NEVER have a future due to their stupdity.

If I was a basketball fan and these thugs won, perhaps I would have an extra beer and then turn off the fuckin' TV.

So the Lt in a North side district orders a gun inspection which is understandable but then the idiot in line next to me draws his weapon with a finger on the trigger. After realizing where is fingers are he almost drops his weapon fumbling for it after removing his finger from trigger guard. Best part the Lt is so busy looking down and never notices the gun catch as the barrel is pointed at his head by the girl next to me. So if I get shot by one of these fumblers under orders can I sue the Lt, the Shooter, the WC, and the DC along with the department? lol

yes, you can sue, or your estate, as the case may be; those inspections are unnecessary and dangerous, those who conduct or authorize them are negligent, at the least.....go for big damages, add punitive monies, and go for the pensions too.

Off topic, our new superintendent is a man who has worked the streets and come up through the ranks. I believe he also collects a pension form NYPD. I know the superintendent has no involvment in the pension issue but he will as one of us surely understand that this current issue is a real drain on morale.

----------------------------------

Did the LT. went a little overboard as far as sending the Officers home after roll call / gun inspection to clean his/her gun and replaced the old torn gun holster? Yes. But then, I realized its for my own, as well as your's, safety. Would you want to go to a shooting with someone who hasn't clean his/her gun for months? I know that we are all busy on our personal life i.e. kids, school, side jobs and so forth. But, this is our MAIN job and you have to be prepare for the worst whether you like it or not...

As far as the other issues with this LT... Well, I better stay under the radar as I always be..

Remember Troops, when the Bulls Win, and the Streets of Chicago are burning, and Looting, random gunfire, violence, and destruction are IN-Progress, keep in mind how much our great Crookago Politicians and residents of Crookago appreciate you, and have shown it by giving you all a tremendous 2% raise, so be prepared to risk life and limb to defend them, as you are so appreciated and adored by them. That 2% said it ALL, and if you haven't gotten that through your thick skulls by now, then you truly are a true Chicagoan.

GO GET EM, WARRIORS!

Shit does happen. We had a PO shot in 010 during weapons inspection many moons ago. If I recall correctly he took one in the lower leg or foot, and he did sue the responsible officer.

No they won't. I was working in Englewood every time the bulls won. It sucks, ask anyone that worked in a fucked up district back then. But as soon as they lose in the playoffs nothing happens. I hope they lose based on past experience.

Aren't our sidearms supposed to be cleared in one of those weapons-clearing stations or whatever they're called?

Do we even still have those?

In the absence of a safe place to clear your weapon (since our training with firearms is so frequent), sue away!

Your firearm is the life-saving tool of your profession. If you aren't looking at it every day, prior to holstering it, it's your own fault if it fails.

It's damn ridiculous to expect a supervisor, who may actually know less about firearms than you do, to see some deficiency.

Firearms inspections are unnecessary. My W/C doesn't inspect my car prior to going on patrol, and I'm more likely to get killed in that death trap than I am because I failed to properly check my firearm.

Hear, hear! You wrote the absolute truth and are 100% correct. Weekly gun inspections are VERY necessary. Saw conditions at gun inspections that required immediate repairs to some firearms. The purpose of gun inspection in general is to keep us all, and the citizenry, safe.

As one in the know... it's overpriced.
But I can assure you IF they ever took off, at least one of the three or four Chicago (coppers or former)vendors would buy one, send it to China and sell them here as their own idea/design.

We have come along way over the 35 years I have been hear. We talk about suing each other, we out each other at the drop of a hat not really knowing anything about a situation. We are more than willing to believe the bull shit stories and disreguard the truth about each other and some of us are more than willing to make up some BS or start a rumor we know to be false or at least haven't taken the time to verify if any of the information is even remotely true. We run to the sergeant and inform him of an incident that you yourself haven't even attempted to verify concerning the perceived wrong doing of a fellow worker. If you don't like the response the sergeant gives you by pass the sergeant and go directly to the Lt., WC / Capt. or even the commander. And when you actuall do witness some thing that is moraly wrong or out side of the law keep your mouth shut and don't tell anyone, just let the shit keep going on untill we are all embarrased. And remember to make those case reports against each other for our personal or family problems so we can show the entire department and those arround us just how pety and stupid we are. Your are correct, this is not your fathers police department, and things have changed. Just remember Dad is not proud at how many of you turned out.,

Not so. Don't buy the Fibune or the Scum-Times for obvious reasons and DO NOT financially support the White Sox, Cubs, Bears, or Bulls. Teams that hire thugs like Manny Ramirez, Milton Bradley, Derek Rose and so on are not deserving of loyal fans. Can't support the Blackhawks because of the violence on the ice.
