Nice Save

If we hadn't seen so many similar incidents with our own eyes, we'd be doubtful. As it is, we can only shake our heads:
  • Police were called to a domestic disturbance at about 12:30 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of South Pulaski. While en route, the call was upgraded to a kidnapping, according to a police report. When the officers got to the scene, witnesses pointed to a man in his 20s who they said had taken a baby, who was less than a year old.

The officers approached the man, who was walking down the middle of the street with the child in his hands. He then turned and threw the baby at an officer, who caught the child.

As the officer returned the baby to the waiting mother, the suspect began punching the other officer. A fight between the two officers and the suspects began and lasted several minutes before the man was arrested, police said.

Human shields, punching bags, footballs. Is there any indignity that a child on the west side isn't good for?

Just when you thought you have seen just about everything a new fiasco pops up. Why not just fence these morons in and drop in food and medicine once a week. Geeeeze!

It's heartwarming to have their concern for life on display and reported like that.

Never under estimate anyone on pcp, the worst fights of my career have been with 160 pound scumbags who were high on this shit. Good job officers. Also the taser is not effective on these animals as I'm told this one was hit about 9 or so different times and he kept coming.

Good thing they were wearing black vest covers. It gave the shithead something to aim at when he threw the baby.

Sleeping without fear 261 miles north....amazing world out there! The stars twinkling and the Tv off.

Dear Lord,

Watch over this world you created and guide us all to your word and wealth of eternity. Unvex this cursed generation and return them to your fold.

Increase in the hearts of this world the peace you bring to mankind. Defend the meek and protect the broken hearted. Heal the wounded souls who's vessels hold no waters.

Place your angels of mercy about the weak and battered men and women seeking refuge from the wiles of the demons sent to destroy your kingdoms harvest.

Increase your defenders of peace on our streets. Enlighten the minds of the golden starred. Remove the stumbling blocks from the paths of your sworn officers. Deflect reroute and recoil any harm that is in their future, to bring victory to the good.

Keep the score for us oh Lord, and allow us to trust faithfully in your ever working hands.return fathers to broken homes, return mothers from abuse and defilement. Interrupt the momentum of this worlds dark and evil ways. Restore the integrity of the CPD and allow your authority to be dispersed about the city to every dark corner. Place your hand servants about those in grave need and allow your glory to abound.

Mercy and goodness shall reign forever Lord. P,ease hear our cries and stop the flood of filth and ungodliness that is gripping our every waking moment.

When our eyes hurt from the abundance of wrongs we see...please oh please my God, grant us sleep.

Oh great doctor of all medicine send the cure! Allow your sentence to be executed with extreme accuracy. For those moments of uncertainty when we draw the line and stand our ground...keep our rounds straight, true and center mass. Return the keeper of peace to his or her family after every tour. Uplift our brothers and sisters with your living waters God. Amen and amen

Stay safe, God Bless....and nice catch officer on scene.

It's a shame that stories like this don't make the headlines or top stories in the news media. We deal with these type of incidents more often than when we are involved in a shooting.

The lack of comments isn't a lack of interest in the subject. It's just that we're so accustomed to anything, just anything, happening, we don't even think about it anymore.

Nice catch, guys. Seriously.

There should be a requirement to have a license to procreate a child. Temporally sterilize all persons of all races, colors and creeds and just like you have to do if you adopt a puppy from pound have to prove that you can care for it before anyone is permitted to reproduce.

"Never underestimate anyone on PCP..."

--7/26/2011 06:06:00 AM

"What that?"

"It leaf. Get you f___ed up."

PCP on parsley or something with a little incense ground in, rolled up real thin -- one product. Or just that bit of tinfoil with unk. white powder.

Pictures of regulation steel handcuffs torn off and all twisted -- you can see the tooth marks.

Eyes bugged out, can't stand still, ready to jump out of their own skin...very bad.

Then they take this stuff.
