Are You Ready for Some Hockey?

Opening night tonight:
  • After their early struggles last season, the Blackhawks are determined to get off to a fast start.

“Playing catch-up is not what we’re looking for,” coach Joel Quenneville said before the Hawks departed for Dallas for their season opener Friday against the Stars.

What they really want to avoid is an “83rd game,” as Quenneville put it, like last season, when their playoff lives were dependent on the outcome of a game between the Stars and Minnesota Wild.

“We found a way but not the way we want to get in,” Quenneville said.

Good luck guys.

The Carcillo pick up still doesn't feel right, but other than that this is a very solid team on paper. Screw the Bulls.

Maybe the NHL will get some love, now that the NBA is about to throw away any gains it made with the playoffs last year. GO HAWKS!!!! FUCK THE DEAD THINGS!

SCC off track, sorry.
Please let your readers know the reason Human Resources was shut down on Thursday 06Nov11 (fax message sent) was due to an employee in HR that had MRSA. Everyone from HR was sent home and a crew called in to clean. So, if anyone was at HQ and went into HR for something just be aware. Not trying to spread rumors just want everyone to be aware.

Hockey is an incredibly expensive sport, the NHL players seem to acknowledge this by being more approachable and accessable to fans. Due to this major expense growing up, a lot of players understand the sacrifices, on many levels, their parents made. Another trait is the players humble ability to be " common people" because of the many small towns and small clubs they played on in Canada. If you have never been to a live Hawks or even Wolves game it's a lot of fun and you'll be hooked.

Damn, end of the 2nd period, Hawks have outshot the Stars 30-16 and they're still down 2-0.

I'd like to see a breakdown of how many of those shots were saves and how many just aren't coming close to finding the net.

the hawks poured almost 40 shots at the dallas goalie and he did his job--- the hawks need bolland back quick, he seems to be a catalyst for this team--- the hawks will come out firing at the uc tonite--- quennie will start juggling his lines right away if they don't start producing--- kane is much better on wing shooting from the off wing than as a pure center--- GO HAWKS....

All players in all sports are spoiled and over paid. I wouldn't pay a dime to go to any professional game. Watch it on tv or go to a sports bar.
