Detroit favored by 6 at last count:In the latter stages of yet another losing season, the Detroit Lions suffered a close defeat at home to the Chicago Bears.
The Lions haven't lost since that game -- despite trailing by 20 or more points in each of the past two weeks -- and will try to add to their spectacular turnaround as the Bears visit Ford Field again Monday night.
If the defense gives up 500 yards like last week...

Kudos to Dan Hampton, for telling the Annointed One to Pound Sand at a time when the worst/most Anti-American President in history wants a cheap photo op. We need to carry this over when 9.5 starts spouting his bullshit in Dists instead of standing behind him.

You sir are an asshat, I am RDO working this event, I signed up for it. It's time and 1/2 to work it not hour for hour...My tour there was for 10 hours and the time I typed my original post was 0608, if you knew anything, that was well before the marathon started. I have over 12 OTJ and I'll put up the deed to my house I have done more on this job then you will ever. If you're so disgruntled on this job pushing a beat car then retire already. there was a shooting outside my house on west cullerton in pilsen last night. as far as i could tell, the police didn't even show up to investigate...some cop cars drove by, paused, and then kept driving while people were trying to flag them down.

Bears have now lost to Detroit. NBA season in doubt. First two weeks are gone. Maybe the Hawks can do something. I rather doubt it. Cards or checkers anyone?
Downtown demonstration. 001 district pushed back crowds face to face with 300 protestors. POs w/o batons in their hands. No orders to march given. Just walking dumbly into crowd for fear of using or showing force. No batons or leadership whatsoever.
Someone called over the air for more officers under the walkway and no one showed. Bike guys didn't get off their bikes. No support from the bosses and none from POs.

Hahahahaha! You had an upset stomach because of your Bears and were smelling your own gas!
But forget about the Bears. They are toast already and it is only Week #5 of the current season. Two games that should be quite worthy to watch will be the Green Bay Packers at the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, 24 November and the Detroit Lions at the New Orleans Saints a week and a half later on Sunday, 04 December.
However, before those two games, Detroit gets to take another whack at the Bears in Chicago on Sunday, 13 November. By then, the Bears will be 3-5 and will be 3-6 afterwards. It's shaping up to be a 6-10 season for the Bears.
The Wisconsin Badgers O-Line look like All-Pro talent compared to whatever the bears call their front five. Hell, they make most pro O-Lines look bad...
Maybe the bears could forfeit the next four years of future drafts to pick up the five as a package deal in the off season.
What was amazing about this game is that the Bears were in it almost until the end.
A couple of dropped passes by Hester and Forte, and that abominable run from scrimmage by Detroit for 88 yards where nobody even touched him, effectively did them in.
Not saying that the Bears are on anybody's top ten list of NFL teams, but Detroit ain't that good, either.
Bears suck. Lions look to be the real deal.
