They should allow that Fire Capt to play in the game so he can get checked into the boards!

Neither one of you are that far off. Captain Altman is going to sit on their bench as their Honorary Captain. The thought is that it will get them publicity, so this is not a secret and shouldn't be that hard for someone else to confirm.
cornelison is good but nobody could bring the house down like wayne messmer....

WOW....sounds like someone doesnt get invited to play in this game........either way both teams attempt to put their best players out there......so CFD & CPD play a competitve game and it is for a good cause. Dont ruin the idea of good, clean competition with your negative view.
We need to stick together and support both departments during these messed up times. I'm hoping this year for a CPD win. Hasnt happened in some years but I am looking forward to this game since it is on my RDO and its at a decent time....GO CPD!!!!

Lmao clout rules?they are a good bunch of weekend players and if there's infighting over who gets to play its because none of them played when you had to be the best or you got cut from a team there have been a few of us on the team that played anywhere from D1 to ECHL but thats was long ago and got tired of hearing ankle skaters cry about not playing in the big game LOL and to the person puting down the D3 CC guy STFU softball star. My yuppie girlfriends and I will be there wearing our CFD hockey shirts. We got them at Kohl's. My boyfriend bought one too, except he bought a CPD one, size smedium. He wears it to John Barleycorn's on Thursday nights.
Clout rules = Even though you don't play on the (Three) teams you still play.I know kuz I never played in my 15 years playing. Yes I'm past my prime, but 10 years ago I wasn't, and clout fucked me just like this job.
Clout may have ruled in the past at times but it doesn't now. The best players play. If you can't let go then I don't know what to tell ya.

Why would the CFD team put Altman on the bench as a honorary anything? He is a disgrace and a embarassment. Is the CFD fanning the flames?

I hate this mentality that high school is the last time you could play a sport. Playing hockey has nothing to do with "pretending to b in high school again." If you're too salty to have some healthy competition in your life, keep it to yourself.
No pressure Stars but the CPD is going for a 2011 sweep of the CFD. CPD Soccer, Football, Baseball, and Boxing all won this year. Just sayin'
I'm offering my services to the highest bidder.
I could skate rings around either of those teams.
A couple of corrections needed here……
first the CPD will be playing for the DISABLED POLICE OFFICERS……CFD will play for wounded warriors…..
Second, The CFD will not have ALTMAN on their bench…no rumors just FACT. If that was the case the CPD might as well have ABBATTE on their bench.
And most importantly……this game is for charity…..ENOUGH SAID….come out and have a beer, a good laugh and join both teams for the after party wherever that may be……..my hats are off to the guys suiting up on both squads……make CFD and CPD proud!!!!
If Altman is on the bench can we hold a lottery - who in the stands on the CPD side can open up a can of puck whoop ass on him. I'll pay double to get in just to see that.

Years ago, I saw a game in Atlantic City between AC Police & Fire and NCLE (North Carolina LE). The following day, NCLE played in Bristol, Pennsylvania and I attended that game also.
Great entertainment and I had a blast.
SCC, please give an update on this after the game. I'd love to hear about it.

If I could make it to the game, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I'm leaving in the morning for North Carolina and won't be back until 12/6. It's a family obligation and I just can't bail on everyone.
Let me know if the CPD and CFD have a rematch or anything like that. Maybe I'd be able to make it up then if it happens,
So far, the closest I'll be to Illinois is on 1/14/12 when the Flyers come down to Nashville to play. It's not my ideal game to go to (I prefer division rivalries), but I'm def. not going to miss seeing them. It's definitely one of the downfalls of living in TN. I can't see the Flyers or the Eagles when I want. Oh, well; c'est la vie!
