Crime is down, so only 8 shot in under 12 hours is a good thing:
One man is dead and seven others were wounded by gunfire during a bloody eight hours throughout the city Friday night through Saturday morning.
As far as we can tell, open investigations on everything.

Off Topic but I have a question I hope some one can answer. When I looked at the back of my cook county property tax check it was marked with a bank from Indianapolis, Indiana. I was wondering why they would not use a bank in Cook County or at least in Illinois????

I could make at least 12-15 arrests and I'm not doing a f*cking thing. And will do as little as possible if I have to travel from NW O'Hare to Area 1 or 2.Amount of time needed to get to Area 3 is 22 years. Wow.
Heard from a reliable birdie that crimes under $5,000 will no longer be investigated. Not burglaries, property damage, bad checks, nothing. The citizens are about to be royally screwed over.

Hello!! Doorbell!! I don't consider where I live the hood and live around a lot or working class homeowners or retirees. The bad seeds that live in the neighborhood are a small cluster compared to the ones that live here that work, pay property taxes etc. What i don't understand is how sooo many people feel as if ALL black neighborhoods don't deserve any kind of attention or help because of who they are and what they don't have. It's ridiculous and I have a problem with that. I pay taxes like the rest of these folks that say they are entitled and pay taxes themselves. This is total BS and so is this city and the people that run it.

Well unfortunately for you, if you live in an area that is populated mosltly by African Americans the perception is that you live in the hood. Crime statistics prove it.
I'm sorry that you some how you feel discrimated against, but facts are facts. You need to get your head out of the sand, and accept this fact. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but the overwhelming majority of police resources are used in patroling and protecting neighborhoods like yours.
While there is crime in all corners of the city, I think it is a pretty safe bet that if you move to a so called "White" neighborhood you chances of being a victim of a violent crime decrease exponentially compared to that in a "Black" neighborhood.

I live in an area where almost everybody is a law-abiding citizen and I NEVER see the police around! They are being sent to the "ghetto" areas" where most of the crime is and yes, I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT! Most of those southside black and hispanic neighborhoods have so many police they are tripping over each other!!!! Now the criminals are coming into slower quieter areas where there are no police to stop them!
December is fast approaching. Look for robberies to spike. The bad guys like to wear the puffy coats to conceal firearms. Stop everyone with a puffy coat this season.
