Shortshanks to Harvard

In any other circumstances, he'd be there scrubbing toilets and sweeping floors. Now?
  • Former Mayor Richard M. Daley needed three tries to pass the bar exam. He was once so inarticulate that he took public speaking lessons to overcome that.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has trashed his predecessor and political mentor virtually every chance he gets, even though he never mentions Daley’s name in a negative light.

But none of that has stopped Harvard, the nation’s most prestigious university, from offering Chicago’s longest-serving and now former mayor a “visiting fellowship” this fall.

Harvard just took a couple steps down from "prestigious" in our eyes.

A progressive school honoring a progressive mayor. Not so hard to understand, just as U of C gave Shortshanks a job that will net him another pension.

This is exactly why we have students tonight at Penn State acting like ghetto rats rioting and overturning satellite trucks in an effort to coverup and protect the Penn State brotherhood involved is alleged child molestation of ten year old's in the locker rooms.

Society has become morally bankrupt.

Take your blinders off! Who do you think are the people who have led this country swirling the water in the toilet bowl up to now? You got it...Ivy League graduates. Bush was a lightweight up at Yale. Obama is a Harvard Grad, as is the infamous 3M (Masters). And we all know what a shitty job he did as the City Hall Hack appointed Chief of Staff for Mr. Weis. The two of them brought productivity and morale to an absolute
standstill. So, it stands to reason that the administrators over at Harvard would seek out one
who has managed to keep his head (barely) above
the toilet bowel water line. I think that Lord Shanks
of Short will be the perfect sort to mold the minds
of those young students of privilege over at the ivy
covered walls of Harvard to do what the offspring
of true wealth and power do best...take, take, and
take again, usually from the public trough.
We little people are such sheep when it comes to
voting for our public officials, really!

I wonder how the hell the Daley Crime Family got their claws into Harvard, that makes them want him anywhere near their campus?

Oh, wait. The liberal hallowed halls of education, liberal Dems, sheep being set up for slaughter by the outfit... got it. What a sad society and country we have become!

Harvard wanted Daley to speak so they can replay his speech annually prior to the valedictorian commencement speech, sort of like a textbook BEFORE and AFTER example of what Harvard could accomplish.

Harvard, a bastion of liberalism and everything that is wrong with and bringing this country down. Daley should fit right in with them. Ironically, this is the only way Daley is able to get into Harvard, he is too stupid to test in or even transfer from another college or university.

Does it surprise anyone that people today love sports more than anything. Michael Vick is a good example. Here we have an educated talented guy murdering helpless animals for kicks. He did serve some time but why was he allowed to play pro football again. Simple. The fans want a winner and will excuse anything Vick did before. All of those abused kids will be forgotten in a year or two. The football program will go on at Penn State and elsewhere. The college will pay off the victims lawsuits and that will be that. This nation has become morally bankrupt. Need a reminder? Look at what is happening on the streets of Chicago every day. A 15 year old beats his police Grandmother to death for skipping school and stuffs her body in a sewer. A punk teen cold cocks a helpless old man on a CTA platform and laughs about it with his friends. Enough said.

Gentlemen, ladies--please be civil. The mere fact that our beloved mayor emeritus does not test well and is terminologically inexact on occasion and, in public, may have a difficult time even spelling GED (let alone LSAT)is no reason to castigate him.

His academic future beckons. There are a variety of coaching staff positions soon to be offered at Penn State. Who better to demonstrate how to f*** people from behind and get away with it?
